Yoshi's has served Japan's best traditional dishes to Bay Area patrons since 1972. The menu highlights artfully arranged sushi, fresh grilled seafood, classic Japanese dishes, and vegetarian fare. Patrons can kick off their shoes in the traditional Japanese tatami seating or dine at tables. Expert sushi chefs create sushi and sashimi to order either in the restaurant or in the jazz house.     We had an absolutely amazing evening at Yoshi’s—consistently fantastic every time. The sushi was top-notch (we had the spicy tiger roll), and the dinner plates were excellent. The corn, edamame, and scallop risotto were so good, and the black cod was delicious. The tuna tartar starter was incredible, and the cocktails were fun—definitely try the Perfect Pomegranate (I had two!). The banana dessert was a perfect finale. We enjoyed fantastic table service in the theater while listening to Pete Escovedo and his band. It was truly a wonderful night. Both the dinner and theater service were super friendly and attentive. I’ve been going to Yoshi’s for 35 years, and it’s still the best.

    Normally a fabulous experience but this time it took 1 hour to get our food and 30 minutes before even being acknowledged. Had to eat our meal in 10 minutes to get to the show

    We were disappointed with the quality of the food. It has gone down quite a bit since 10 years ago. The fish did not taste fresh and the coating on the temporary was terrible.

    Yoshi's never disappoints. I was there this past Saturday with my lady to see All4one. It was great food and a great time. I also proposed to my lady towards the end of the song I Swear which will be very memorable for both of us. Both of us will continue to go there for dinner and a show. if you've never been there, I suggest going to their website and taking a look at their calendar of events to see if your favorite artist will be there. You won't be disappointed.

    Love Yoshi’s. Last visit was a little noisy. Food was great as always. Options for vegetarian’s are limited but definitely some options. Service was good and fast. Wish I could removed the name of our young waiter. He was great….knowledgeable, converse, quick, etc.
