   Food and service were good but kitchen was slow. We waited over an hour for our entrees to come out and not at same time.

   Overall great experience, food was good and tasty. The goat cheese fondue was great. The benedict was little less to be desired as the poached eggs were not as runny as I would like but knowing it probably sat in the window for a bit is understanding. Took a little time get main course but not a big deal as we were not in a rush. Our server Taylor was great and made the experience more enjoyable.

   Whiskey Cake San Antonio absolutely nailed our brunch experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, stylish, and inviting—perfect for a laid-back weekend morning. We kicked things off with their giant cinnamon roll, and let me just say: this thing is legendary. Gooey, warm, perfectly spiced, and big enough to share (though you may not want to). The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful steak paired with eggs just the way we like them and crispy potatoes that hit the spot. The short stack pancakes were fluffy, buttery, and indulgent, with just the right balance of sweet and rich. And the Farmer’s Breakfast brought that comforting, hearty flavor you hope for in a classic brunch plate. To drink, we tried the Jessica Wabbit—fresh, bright, and just the right amount of earthy sweetness. It was refreshing and paired surprisingly well with everything on the table. Service was on point, and the vibe was upbeat without being chaotic. This place strikes the perfect balance between upscale and cozy. Highly recommend for anyone looking to elevate their brunch game. We’ll absolutely be back!

   The Prime Rib was somewhat tough and definitely not medium rare as we ordered.The potato salad was unusual and definitely not to our liking. The service was very attentive and was much appreciated.

   Our server, Randy was amazing. She was attentive and friendly, and went above and beyond. We’ll request her the next time we visit! The food was delicious and the mimosas and espresso martinis were spot on. It was a very enjoyable brunch.

   We booked a table for 2pm lunch, wanting to miss the brunch crowd. The restaurant was nor overly busy and there were many empty tables, but service was excruciatingly slow. Our wait person was pleasant, but we were there twice as long as we planned due to waiting on our dessert and further waiting for the check.

   Our Server Bill was outstanding !!! Always stopping by to check in on how we were doing. The food was exquisite and absolutely delightful !!! Definitely worth a try !!!

   Biscuit and gravy, chicken and waffles, breakfast plate and the grilled chicken with vegetables were all very yummy. ordered khalua lliquor for my coffee then added some to my syrup to go over the waffles.....best idea ever! Our server, Kayla was awesome. !!!!!!!!

   We’ve had brunch at Whiskey Cake several times over the past few years, and there were some disappointing changes to the menu. First, being charged for each coffee press was disappointing-$26 for four coffee presses that gave you just over two full cups of coffee without much more to refill your cup was a big disappointment. Additionally, the Farmers breakfast plate no longer comes with grits. Instead, a fruit cup was provided in its place and consisted of about a quarter cup fruit which was mostly apple cubes. The biscuit recipe also changed. It wasn’t bad but the jalapeño cheddar biscuits were one of Whiskey Cake’s staples. In addition to the changes, the quality of the food, which was top tier at one point, has diminished. To top it off, the waiter appeared to be in a rush too. Whiskey Cake is no longer one of our top brunch choices.
