   I always enjoy Vine Street because of the special atmosphere, typically professional service, and good food. As usual, I had a delicious meal last night (calamari salad and mussels...even the margarita was good), though my husband's (and friend's) pricey veal chop were too tough to chew. he should have mentioned something to the waiter when first trying it, but was too nice to complain. (In fact, he left some of the unchewable pieces on a side plate and the person clearing the table asked if he wanted to take it home. No!) Then a bottle of sparkling water was dropped on the floor right behind my chair and my coat on the back of my chair and feet got very wet. Though the floor was mopped immediately and napkins were given to me to dry off, my friend had to suggest that the remaining water be wiped up. When I saw my husband and friend hadn't eaten most of the veal chops, I mentioned something to the original waiter when he returned with the check; he was accommodating by taking off something for the poor quality, which was thoughtful. I'll be back at Vine Street, for sure, but won't be ordering meat.

   We decided to try Vine Street Cafe for Easter Brunch. We usually go for dinner, but thought this would be a change of pace. It was a very nice Brunch. The food was fantastic as always.

   Fabulous evening. Attentive service, great food & cozy ambience. The only complaint was that the heat was on too high ! ( we were sitting by the wall and the baseboard heat was intense).

   Best quality food around. Good size portions. Friendly service. $265 for two persons with salad, entree and two nice glasses of wine each.
