   Close to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Very cozy with good service and excellent food. Prices were more than reasonable. Strongly recommended.

   I Love Via Quadronno on East 73rd, and was so happy when this 88-89/Madison location opened closer to me. It's a fantastic place to have a breakfast meeting. High-quality, clean dishes. They used to have another location on 59th, and I am sorry it was closed. It was another perfect comfy elegant breakfast spot in mid-town.

   Food and service were excellent. The noise level was terrible. The music was not Italian or soothing, exceptionally loud with a persistent thumping. The dining area is small with a low ceiling and no acoustic buffers to reduce the noise. Because of the small area and conditions, people in the dining area spoke loud. It was not pleasant.

   The food was much better than I expected. WE had the sole and the pasta with veal ragu, both excellent choices and well prepared. The service was somewhat sluggish but otherwise we were happy.

   Perfect location for upper east side lunch with friends! We were a party of 6 after a morning at the Guggenheim and sat upstairs. Half of us started with the cauliflower soup which was amazing and I had the avocado, hearts of palm and tomato salad with grilled chicken. Perfect light fare lunch, great coffee and convenient location. Our waiter was a young guy with a Russian accent and was very nice and on top of everything.

    PEOPLE WERE VERY NICE BUT THE FOOD WAS MEDIOCRE AT BEST AND THE OCTOPUS WAS AWFUL.
