   The food was absolutely wonderful, and we had a great overall experience. We started with calamari, which was cooked to perfection, so lightly fried. Delish! We had the burrata with prosciutto, roasted peppers and arugula pesto. The most superb bite of food! Such a great pairing. We split the veal Marsala, again delicious. Laura at the bar took great care of us - super friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. Katie welcomed us and made sure we got great seats at the bar. I highly recommend and will be going back soon! Julian runs a great show! Bravo!

   Our visit was for purposes of celebrating Administrative Professionals' Day. The food was great, and the service was stellar, particularly from the three junior staff members who were celebrating Take Your Child to Work Day.

   We had a WONDERFUL dinner celebrating my Fiancé's 24th birthday. We've eaten at Vallozzi's before and had a wonderful experience, but our dinner last night was phenomenal. We were seated promptly after arriving for our reservation. It was a Tuesday night, so there weren't many other groups there. We ordered a bottle of resiling, and we were treated to one glass each of celebratory prosecco, on the house! We also ordered the bread, served with ricotta cheese and oil to hold us over for the main courses. I ordered the Gnocchi and my fiancé ordered the Linguini Florentine. The gnocchi was cooked perfectly! The sauce was so flavorful, as well. It was almost stew-like with carrots, broccoli, peas, and cherry tomatoes in a delicious red sauce. My fiancé loved the lightness of the linguini, and the shrimp was cooked well. As travelers who have visited Italy, we can say with confidence that these dishes certainly match the deliciousness of authentic Italian meals. Though we refused dessert as we thoroughly enjoyed our main courses, our server brought over two tasty truffles. She said she didn't want us to leave without a bit of a birthday celebration. As proven, our server was wonderful and very attentive; she cracked jokes and treated us extremely well. If you're looking for a taste of Italy in Downtown Pittsburgh with attentive and generous waitstaff, don't skip Vallozzi's!

   We made a late night reservation. Food was great, loved the crispy Brussels sprouts. The cocktails were exceptional. Paint the town red is a must try. Cam, our host, Stephanie our server, made us feel so welcome. Both were very attentive. We will definitely be back!

   Our arancini came out cold first. It was comped. Then our pasta came out lukewarm instead of hot. Not the best food for the price. Disappointed

    We reserved a table for 6 for a party going to see Jerry Seinfeld later that night. The house set us up with a very nice, large round table - perfect! The place was tastefully decorated; very pleasant surroundings. My date ordered a nice glass of Italian dry red, I had the well-mixed Italian Manhattan cocktail; we split a generous and delicious green salad; she ordered the pork chop; I ordered the swordfish. Both mains came as very large portions, in a nice presentation and cooked perfectly with starch and vegetable sides. We finished with coffee. We will definitely go back and we will recommend it to others.
