   Umi is always solid when it comes to food, however they do need to train their host staff to be professional and not so rude and upity. When we are coming in and paying top dollar for sushi, the expectation is that the service upon entering is professional and friendly. I had a host hang up on me when I would not come in earlier for a reservation after I was told I only had 1 1/2 hour to eat. Seriously??

   I was really excited to try Umi for my birthday dinner. We made a reservation on a Wednesday night and were not seated until over 30 minutes after our reservation. When we got to the table the restaurant was extremely busy and so loud you could not have a conversation with the person sitting across the table from you. The tables were packed in so tight you would hear everyone else's discussions around you. The food was good, but that was about it. For that price point I would expect a much better experience and ambience. I also would expect the restaurant would offer to comp something after having to wait for so long to get a table that you had a reservation for during the week.

   Great experience overall. Food was phenomenal and service was great. Only negative is they won’t seat your party until everyone has arrived and there is nowhere to wait except outside. The bar is tiny and you’re in the way of servers if you stand anywhere in the bar area.

   The food was absolutely fabulous, as were the drinks including the coffee. The service was very attentive. Definitely plan to return.

   We love our dinners there for the past 8 years- especially when Khoi is our server. The best sushi we’ve had in Atlanta.

   Great food experience and our waiter made excellent recommendations. Lobster Butter hot dish was amazing and so was the nigiri options we had with red snapper. Would highly recommend.

    Everything was good from the food to the service the three people at front the hostess and host. They need to be a little bit friendly and welcoming
