Ulele (pronounced you-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the legendary young princess Ulele.

Located on the Hillsborough River in Tampa Heights, 400 yards from the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Indoor and outdoor waterfront dining. Lunch and dinner daily. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Featuring intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on our 10' round barbacoa grill.

Ulele operates in the lovingly re-imagined 1903 Tampa Heights Water Works building, which also includes its Ulele Spring Brewery to provide a number of craft beers on tap. Next door to Water Works Park.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the indoor dining rooms.

    We enjoyed a table with a bench and 2 chairs along the wall. We had a good view of the entire restaurant. Variety of vegetarian and gluten free options. Our server was attentive and courteous. Drinks were tasty and all of the food was fresh and excellent.

    Always an awesome experience. Food is top notch and the service excels. Enjoy the outdoor tables by the spring. Ulele is one of our favs.

    We arrived for our 1:15 reservation on Father’s Day to a dinner menu. When we asked why, we were told the restaurant only provides a dinner menu on holidays. This must be a new policy, because last year on Father’s Day the lunch menu was offered. We specifically made lunch reservations to order items we enjoy off of the lunch menu. This seems like a not so subtle way to increase the cost per ticket on a busy holiday as many of Ulele’s dinner entrees are at least $10 more per item. Additionally the entrees are much heavier than what many people would want for lunch. I overheard other tables making similar comments while we were there. That said, the oysters were great as always and the service was just as great. Just disappointed in the dinner only options and would have appreciated a disclaimer when we made our reservation.

    Food always excellent and great wine. Our server Jake did a great job. Great vibe throughout the restaurant. The staff makes a very demanding profession look easy.

    Our experience in the restaurant was fantastic. Great service and the food was played beautifully. We love coming here before Tampa Bay Sun games. We were disappointed by the valet attendant reeking of marijuana who parked our car.
