   We are from NYC and my experience has been that the Mexican food here in CA is usually better than what we can get back home. The food here being the exception. I was very disappointed. Very with the Americanized style. Small things do matter for example, the salsa was apparently straight out of a jar and they put cheese on top of the black beans which were tasteless. One redeeming thing is that the portions are huge. I’ll would prefer a normal portion and much better quality. Last couple of things, the runner brought an extra serving of rice and beans instead of the soup we ordered and spilled an entire glass of water all over the table then disappeared for a couple minutes. By the time he came back with napkins water had run all over the table and we had gotten up to avoid having it drip onto us. We switched tables and that was that….no big deal.. but in spill distracted us from realizing we never got the soup we paid for…. There was an ant crawling on the table when we sat down… The dude who cleans the table uses the same rag for every table and wipes off the same place mats with the same rag over and over so that was super gross . I hate to trash the place because it seems like it has a big following with the locals. Staff were all very nice and pleasant.

   Hi Peter! Are you sure you're reviewing the correct establishment? We don't have any Mexican dishes on the menu currently (salsa, black beans). We also don't use rags to wipe down tables, we use sanitizer wipes that are one time use and immediately go into the trash. We also do not have place mats in our restaurant.    Our server was the sweetest but the service was slow and the food was mediocre. This was our first time here and we won't be back because there are just too many excellent food establishments in OC to dine at.

   Food quality and taste were very underwhelming. Avocado toast bread was too thick of a slice and not even toasted. Breakfast tacos weren’t tasting good either

   The food was so so this time . The wrap was really dry and hard . The waiter messed up my tea order for the wrong kind but offered to change it . The wrong salad came out for my friend but they changed it out Overall a nice experience

   It was okay the pesto pasta was good but the Asian chicken and Cesar salad was not good… the price for two drinks and two salads and one entree and the buffalo chicken appetizers- the appetizer was not good at all either… and it was not worth $104.00… for all that. The waitress was the very good and did her best and was on top of everything

   We used to eat here fairly regularly. Have not been in a while so we went tonight. Sadly the restaurant was just not the same as before. Almost empty- I can understand why- and it felt like we were in a big empty food hall…no ambience or cozy comfort. The food was awful. It tasted like it was prepared days ago and reheated. The happy hr wine was also terrible. We will never ever return. I predict this restaurant is going to die.

    Had lunch at True Food today and was thoroughly impressed! The service was fantastic—well above expectations—and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. A truly enjoyable experience all around. Highly recommend!
