Toups' Meatery es un restaurante cajún contemporáneo que ofrece buena comida, vino, cocteles especiales, una amplia selección de bourbon y carnes frías, todo ello habiéndose inspirado en las tradiciones familiares arraigadas de Louisiana. El chef Isaac Toups representa la nueva generación de chefs cajún por su acercamiento refinado y actualizado de platos rústicos. We came in for dinner with our family that visited from out of town. The Toups team delivered incredible service and incredible food. Not a meat eater? Fear not…the seafood couvillion and jumbo shrimp are AMAZING. If you enjoy a nice refreshing cocktail, my favorite of the night was the Sally Fields Forever. If you’re looking to show off to your out of town friends and get them out of the touristy mindset, take them to Toups.

Excellent Lamb neck that was succulent and fell off the bone. Delicious! Great Sause on the meat and well worth the money. Very creative dish. Who knew that a lamb's neck could be so tasty.

We went for lunch, so it was not super busy, and the bartender was running everything. He did well especially as the crowds grew. The food is great as always and represents the true nature of Louisiana cooking without being bogged down in the tourist trap menus of much of New Orleans. I have always enjoyed the food and people associated with this restaurant. One of my favorites.

WOW! The food lives up to everything we had heard, and the service was well above what we expected from reviews. The lamb's neck was memorable. The Boudin balls ( a recommendation of our server) have caused me to revisit my previous distaste for boudin. We will be back!

We had an enjoyable time Saturday at Toups. We shared an entree and sides and it was pretty tasty. It took them two tries to get the steak (yummy!) temperature correct. The service was pretty good, but a bit forgetful. They may have been understaffed. Will give them another try next time we are in town.
