                          Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my wife. Utilized the valet parking and paid for this with my credit card when requesting my car. When I went outside to retrieve my vehicle, I showed him on my phone where I had paid. The attendant responded it must not have gone through, and I needed to pay cash. The cost was $11.00. Make no mistake, Tony's Restaurant was, as usual, fantastic. The valet company did contact me and has made an offer to resolve this matter. Case closed. Tony's is the best!!!

                          Tony’s quality of food and service is exceptional. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and the staff made sure to wish us a happy anniversary and even gave us a free dessert. The ambiance was even better than I remembered from our last visit. Jay, our server, made sure our experience was wonderful. We don’t get to go to Tony’s often but when we do it lives up to the hype.

                          Just ok - but not worth the price. Steak was delicious, but the hamburger was nearly inedible. Too expensive not to be 100% satisfied.

                          The staff was very friendly and attentive. We arrived early for our reservation and was seated right away. Our server Stu was great as was his Server assistant. The veal chop was superb. We reserved early to avoid the noise, when the restaurant starts to fill up the noise level can be a little much. Overall great experience.

                          As usual Tony’s nailed everything except for the asparagus, it was oily with large spears, it wasn’t good. They were very nice and removed it from our bill.

                          Tony's has always been the restaurant that we save for special occasions and this was our anniversary. We were seated in the front section of the restaurant across from the bar so I had a view of the bar, TV Screens, and the people coming in and out during our entire meal. Just not the vibe I was hoping for. The staff was busy. Our water came almost immediately and we were told the waiter would be right with us. We were also told our bread service would be right out. 10-15 minutes later, still no waiter and no bread. The assistant noticed and told us he would make sure the bread got ordered and then he must have reminded the server to check on us, because he finally showed up. Got us started with our appetizer and the bread came out during that. The Crab cakes never disappoint. We split the wedge salad with Blue cheese. It was very good and then we had the short ribs and a new Veal dish that was on the special for the evening. We also ordered the Creamed Spinach which is one of our favorites. The entrees were just okay. My wife said part of the veal plate seemed cold, Veal had a layer of fat on it for flavor but there was very gristle around the fat and she had to keep cutting it off. The short ribs were just not as good as I remembered. Very heavy. Too much sauce all over the plate. I could barely find the potatoes. Maybe this restaurant just isn't our vibe anymore. We like a calmer atmosphere.

                          Let me start by saying the food was excellent. Two steaks, mashed sweet potato's, brussels sprouts and a wedge salad were all terrific. Now for the not-so-good news. We arrived 9 minutes prior to our 6:00pm reservation and were told "your table was being prepared", feel free to get a drink at the bar (we don't drink) and we'll call you when ready. There were 20+ empty tables at that time, and everyone who entered after us was seated immediately. We were called right at 6:00 and taken to one of those many empty tables. The noise level was such that my wife and I could not carry on a conversation, most unpleasant. Shoulder-to-shoulder in the dining room and we did however hear snippets of conversation from all the people around us. We were using a $250 gift card for our dinner. Dinner came to $183.38 and our server was in line for a $66.62 tip. UNTIL, we were told that a tip can not be paid via gift card. So I left a cash tip of $40.00. Have never heard of that in all my days of dining. Checked with others in the industry and no one was aware of that practice. So my "free" dinner ended up costing $40 + $15 for valet parking. From the time I said "check please" to the time we actually left the table was just under 20 minutes. When you are ready to go, that transaction needs to move MUCH quicker than that. Our only trip back to Tony's will be if, by chance, we receive another gift card (and I'll be aware of their no-tip rule). That did it for us, but I'm sure Mr. Tony will survive without or business.
