   This is not a place for food, it was sub par or even worse. No taste, seemed microwaved. We ordered apps, mains and deserts. The ambiance and drinks are what you’re getting here.

   Great time. Good food, yummy drinks, excellent service, nice people, great band that played songs we all knew the words to. Fun

   It was amazing. The atmosphere was very tropical. It felt like we were back in Hawaii. It also rains in the dining room for a cool little show. The drinks were worth the price. We ordered three. We ordered poke tostada appetizers and they were delicious. For entrees we ordered the miso glazed salmon and the beef striploin. For dessert we shared the mango panna cotte. Our total check was $253. If you are in San Francisco and are looking for a unique dining experience then you must check out this spot. Reservations are a must and the deposit was $50 per person.

   A total experience restaurant. This is a place you go for drinks and appetizers and skip the food. It's a fun atmosphere with a band in a little boat on the water in the middle of the restaurant. The food was bland but the service was great.

   The vibe of the restaurant doesn’t cohere with the atmosphere of the hotel. The food wasn’t good and the restaurant is overpriced. The service was amazing but I would not recommend this restaurant.

   So much fun. We booked this thinking it would be a silly, but fun way to enjoy our evening, and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was great, the music was good, and the vibes were overall awesome. The major callout to make was around service - there are a little minor (but major) things that the staff did that really made this an over the top, awesome experience. Cocktails came out from the bar insanely fast. Our dinner plates were pre-warmed. Without asking, our sever split our dinner salad onto 2 separate plates. He also joked with us through the evening. We never wanted for anything - thanks, David for being so great.

   I flew into town and my daughter and son in law drove in to meet me so we could spend a few days together in San Francisco. We were also celebrating my daughter's 36th birthday. She has celiac and was especially excited about the gluten free options on the Tonga Room menu. Unfortunately, our server seemed confused every time we indicated that my daughter's food needed to be gluten free. We confirmed at least 4 times that everything was gluten free and the server assured us that my daughter's selections were gluten free as was the soy sauce she gave my daughter. My daughter ended up getting very sick from her meal that evening which definitely put a damper on the birthday celebration. Your menu should not indicate that there are gluten free options if the servers and kitchen staff are not properly educated and trained. Food allergies are serious! We had all been very much looking forward to the evening and were extremely disappointed to spend almost $100/person for a subpar experience.

   Tourist trap. Food was sub par and very expensive. Cover charge for live band is sad. Service was good. Cool to place to eat when it’s starts raining. Will not go back

    I was wonderfully surprised by the ambiance it was perfect for my birthday 🥳 it was like being in another state a tropical one every thing was great I was fully entertained by the music and my guest of my party good find . The hotel which I known of is perfect if like nostalgia and classic venues. Happy Birthday to me
