   We had lunch on a Sunday before going to an exhibition at the Courtauld gallery. Food was excellent, and good value. Service attentive without being fussy; and reasonably good value.

   Met our 3 sons for a birthday dinner for our youngest. Staff were very friendly. Food was delicious and there was no problem feeding our son's girlfriend who is gluten free. It was like having dinner in our own dining room as we were the only table occupied. A nice touch was happy birthday on Harry's plate for his dessert Thank you so much, we will be back

   We found the staff and the food to be very good. The restaurant is pleasant enough with a fully stocked bar. The wine we ordered was very good. The food was exceptional. We shared a charcuterie platter to start which was plentiful, and to follow we had the chateaubriand. This was cooked to perfection and was a stunning piece of meat. The warm bread you are served to start is slightly sweet and very delicious, careful you don't fill up on it. Although pricey, we enjoyed and would recommend. Lovely location within Somerset House.

   OH MY GOD THE MACARONI CHEESE. Lovely place to eat, ambience and service top notch. Food was quite pricey for what it was but worth it and to be expected eating somewhere so amazing.

   My husband and I visited for a quick pre-theatre midweek dinner. It was a disappointing start when I had to send back the bread as it was badly undercooked (I didn't see them serve any to anyone else after us, so I guess the whole batch was a write off - how come none of the chefs or waiting staff had noticed?) but our mains were well cooked and nicely presented. Service seemed variable. Although our waitress was friendly, there were other staff members loitering in doorways and pretending not to notice our empty plates etc, which made the atmosphere in the nearly empty dining room unecessarily tense. Overall it was good to try for a change, but I will not be rushing to go again.

   The setting is perfect, right by the river, with lovely high-ceilinged, airy rooms. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and really good, and the food is fresh, no-nonsense English-based dishes, all cooked beautifully, and extremely tasty. Tables are scrubbed pine with no fancy tablecloths, and the floors are wood. It's simple but delicious. This is a new favourite of mine. Ideally-located for any of the South Bank theatres, Covent Garden, Aldwych, and if you are coming in or out of Waterloo station. When we went, the Somerset House ice rink was in full swing, which added to the atmosphere.

   Lovely menu on a cold winter's evening with great use of seasonal produce. We enjoyed all the dishes we tried, and thought it good value for the quality of the food. The ambience is a little odd due to the restrictions of the venue but the staff were excellent, providing just the right amount of attention

   Front of house staff were nice & helpful so first impressions were good, but let down by serving staff who were very slow and unfriendly (although there were loads of them and it wasn't that busy). Food took ages to arrive and was cold when it did. Burgers were okay but pasta dish was claggy and tasteless. The location is lovely and I like the decor of the restaurant but I won't be going back any time soon.

   Great venue with helpful & friendly staff. Varied me use with fabulous tasting food. Would recommend a visit.

    I ate at Tom's a month ago and had a great 5-star experience, but on this occasion most of the menu was not available - presumably due to it being between Christmas and New Year. Particularly disappointing as were visiting from the US. Location in Somerset House is unique and fun and when the entire menu is available the food is excellent.
