   Typical hotel restaurant. We were sat at a table that someone was recently at so they added back a second silverware set....yet never wiped it down. Also, surprised that most of the main breakfast entrees didn't come with toast so it was a $3 upcharge.

   We went for breakfast; the host was very nice but the waitress was just ok. We ordered pancakes for the kids and they didn’t like them. My husband and I ordered omelets; they were mediocre, we had to add salt to make them ok. Overall not worth it, for the price just go to a restaurant brunch. We always stay at Marriott hotels and this breakfast was our first bad experience

   The service was EXCEPTIONAL! We were welcomed immediately upon arrival. Many waitstaff assisted us. Everyone we encountered was cheerful, kind and attentive.

   We made our reservation for 11 am on a Saturday morning, our last meal before checking out and leaving Philly. When we got there, the restaurant was empty, except for a couple of employees milling about. We asked one waitress to help us, and she was very grumpy and offered no help at all. We found another waitress who was more friendly, and she explained they were getting ready for a brunch that started at 11:30. When we told her we had an OpenTable reservation, she said she would check with the kitchen, but came back and said “sorry we’re closed”. So our last meal in Philly ending up being a prepackaged mediocre breakfast sandwich from the little market in the hotel. As an aside I looked back into the restaurant at noon, after the brunch started, and it was still completely empty. So I guess other people already figured out this is a place to avoid!!

   Went for brunch on Mother’s Day. Was basically a traditional breakfast buffet with a few non breakfast options like cocktail shrimp, crab claws, and prime rib. Grits were cold but other than that everything else was up to par. The staff were friendly and accommodating. 2 takeaways, firstly; when we arrived the 12th St. entrance was locked. There were no signs to guide you. We used common sense and walked around to Filbert St. and went through the hotel lobby to gain access. The 2nd take away was that there is no restroom inside the restaurant. You have to use restroom inside the hotel lobby, which you actually need a room key to use. Fortunately, one of the lobby staff unlocked the restroom for us.

   Breakfast Buffet was not worth the cost. They stated clearing away items without letting us know and we missed out desserts and fruit. Every time we asked the waitressb for something it felt as if we were bothering her.

   The brunch was ok at best. Not many options and the food was not very tasty. The server was nice but the service was poor. It appeared that they did not have enough staff working.

    No idea if they are understaffed or what went on, but the most off-putting thing was that people were piled up outside, also with reservations, with no host in sight. When I finally flagged someone down, they acted like what we were asking (to be sat and eat) was a new experience or odd request. The restaurant was maybe a quarter full at this point and there did *seem* to be a good amount of workers. That said the food and drinks were pretty good --elevated fare. Then we waited about 20-30 minutes for a bill. I am sympathetic to being understaffed, but I'm not sure that's what the problem was.
