An average restaurant with an amazing location! Did not dine inside, but went inside to look. Interior seemed less than cozy. Will try a dinner service and review that.

Went early (4:45) to celebrate a career milestone with a date and overall had a great experience from the atmosphere, servers, and the amazing views. The only disappointment was the dish I ordered. I had the Mahi Mahi with clams over linguine (which looked delicious) but unfortunately it was pretty bland. The fish had no flavor nor the linguine it was served on. The clams were good but were a side to the dish. Besides my meal (date ordered grilled chicken burger and gobbled it down) The Windlass was a nice place to enjoy company and relax.

Very different to the one other place we have visited on the Lake - this place is big, bright, modern and great views and food. Definitely better food and just a shame you can't book an outdoor table. Will be going back!

The food was excellent! The service was great. Our server was really friendly and prompt. We were there on a Thursday night and had no issues. Can't wait to come back.

Using OpenTable was nice and easy except that it did not give the option of choosing indoor or outdoor seating. Fortunately since our reservation time was early we were able to choose since it was not busy yet. The weather was perfect and we were given the best waterfront table in the corner by the boats. Our server was excellent and the food was pretty good. We had a great experience.

Cheesy Interior nautical decor with diner like tables and chairs. Very noisy inside dining room felt like a cafeteria. Drinks were super high priced . Food was decent. Steamers were good. I guess the real attraction here is the outside seating. Glad they resurrected this area institution but the only thing this new version shares with its predecessor is the name.

LOUD, LOUD, LOUD! This could be the most acoustically challenged restaurant I've ever encountered. Sadly, the echoing, hollow noise blocks out the many good things this place has to offer. If you are looking to have conversation at the table, you must eat outside. Food, decor and service were all good.

I truly don't want to give a bad review since the waitress was awesome and the manager was very apologetic. Unfortunately, I'd be lying. The AC was broken (brand new units), bread stale, butter fake, appetizers took 45 minutes to come out (and that was just one of the two). The oyster appetizer came out after the salads. I ordered seafood as entre which was good. My husband had veal...wasn't a fan. For the two of us with two cocktails the bill was over $130.00. Very over-priced for the atmosphere!!
