About this restaurant

Great for scenic views
Charming

In one of the most idyllic settings. This 17th Century building sits above a shallow slope to the Thames and enjoys both a sunny veranda balcony and a pretty paved garden right on the riverside.
Apart from one or two extensions over the years the pub building remains relatively untouched, giving it a traditional pub feel.
Festooned with flowers and plants outside in summer and warmed with log fires in the winter it’s been a very special local in Twickenham for many years.

A beautiful place by the river, bustling atmosphere. Sunday roast was Ok, my rare beef was stringy, my partners pork belly slightly overdone. Short of staff so ordering took a little time, overall not impressed by the Sunday roast but would definitely go back to try other items on the menu. Our 'waitress' was energetic, happy, pleasant and accommodating .

The White Swan is a lovely tradional pub by the riverside serving good food and especially good real ale, both Twickenham and Otter ales.

A fabulously friendly bunch , our Scottish waitress was amazing even although she came from Fintry. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful bottle of Finca las Cabras Rioja one that we have added to our wine list . Overall bloody marvellous, we will be back with bells on .

We booked a table for my birthday. It was a misty night and the pub was terribly atmospheric. Full credit to the staff for lighting a roaring fire and letting us move our reservation to a table near the fire. Lovely food, smiley good natured service and altogether a very enjoyable experience.
