    I had the brick pressed chicken; delicious! It was served on a bed of sautéed spinach on top of mashed potatoes with a surround of lemon chicken au jus.

    We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary celebration at Thel Smith Midtown. Dinner was great in all ways. We were greeted warmly and served with great care. Thanks for everything done to make our day special.

    We had a 1230 reservation for 6 on a Saturday. Though the place was jammed we were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. We were sat in the back room which was a bit less loud but still full. The service was excellent. The staff brought bread and still and sparkling water very quickly. Orders were taken within ample time. Food came to the table all at once. One special request was missed by the kitchen but the waitress immediately addressed and rectified the situation. All six of us enjoyed our meals- burgers, chicken sandwich, kale salad, omelette. I recommend. It is a staple in the neighborhood.

    We were seated outside, so a lot of the noise was from the traffic, but we chose that so no complaint. And maybe because we were outside the service was so very slow. I think the majority of the time was waiting. They got an order wrong then had to wait more time without my meal. I asked for eggs well cooked, and they were too mushy. Another person wanted their bacon crispy and emphasized they wanted it cook well done. It wasn't even close to being cooked well. I was so looking forward to a delicious meal here. We were from out of town, so heard so much about this restaurant. Not sure I'd try again.

    Energetic NYC causal restaurant with good ambiance. Good hamburger and rest of food was tasty but overpriced for a casual restaurant. Extremely noisy and difficult to maintain a conversation even though we were only four people.
