   No wonder it is hard to get reservations here. Hands down our absolute favorite restaurant in NJ. Outstanding service, food, and ambiance. Cannot say enough wonderful things about the Saddle River Inn.

   I bring my boyfriend, now fiancé, here every year for his birthday and randomly we come through out the year for other occasions. It is close to our home and the food is absolutely incredible. We have our favorites, steak tartare, Spanish octopus and the duck. Not to mention whatever specials are available. It is always cozy and comfortable. The wait staff are professional and friendly.

   Had an incredible experience here! We had the halibut special and the scallops—both were outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance was just perfect—warm, welcoming, and beautifully designed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

   Excellent start to finish. Everything we ordered was fantastic. ………. but if this is something that appeals to you, when they write “trust me !” in the menu - they are not kidding! WAGYU BEEF TATAKI crispy rice & caviar, trust me!

   This is our fourth time at SRI and as always the service and ambiance was wonderful. The food was delicious but my husband unfortunately got very sick after his meal. He and I shared everything except the veal Parmesan so I’m wondering if maybe something was off with that specific dish. Everything tasted delicious and had he not gotten sick I would’ve given this meal a 5/5! We had the tuna carpaccio, octopus, beef tataki, cavatelli, Dover sole, veal parm, choc panna cotta, and caramel bread pudding.

   We come here quite a lot. I wish the menu would change already. It's literally been years and pretty much the same choices. It's getting a little long in the tooth. I used to love the noodles appetizer. This time is was a bit greasy. Can't complain about the rest of the meal. The ambiance is lovely. this was the first time we were seated upstairs and not sure if that's why service was off a bit. Kinda wish they gave is a window seat as requested for out 25th ANNIVERSARY. Anyway, I just wish they added some better chicken dishes and mix up the menu already.

    Fantastic meal. Ideal place to celebrate our wedding Anniversary. The food, service, dining room was top notch. The staff went above and beyond to make it a special night and I appreciate the staff calling me ahead of time to accommodate us in short notice. We’ll be back again!
