   Great dinner, excellent food, outstanding view but pricey!!! Service is friendly too. The place is super simple and basic which is part of the charm. Don't expect any Michelin stars on your plate but the overall atmosphere is where the stars are..

   A lovely open air setting with great food and service. Definitely worth the trip. We enjoyed the watermelon, feta cheese drizzled with vegetarian caviar appetizer and striped bass adorned with Bok Choy and an Asian infused sauce. The dessert was an incredibly light brownie accompanied by Ginger ice cream. All in all, quite an amazing experience.

   The ambiance was great being that it has a pretty view of the water. The service was fine but just lacked knowledgable staff. Our waitress didn't know what half the food we ordered was. For example: My sister and I ordered a butter lettuce salad, my sister can't have any other lettuce other than butter lettuce (dietary restrictions), so we were happy to see that lettuce on the menu and one of the main reasons I chose this restaurant was because they could accommodate her allergies. Anyway, the salad came out and it was mixed greens. I told our waitress and she said the chef insists it's butter lettuce...we knew it clearly was not, but they didn't have anything else so she just ate the chicken and tomatoes on top of it and pushed the greens to the side...$25 for tomatoes and chicken. Next my friend orders the lobster, ends up being extremely chewy. The waitress took that off the bill so that was nice. Overall, I hear you should only come for the club because the food is awful....so we might give the bar scene a go one day but we'll definitely eat elsewhere before hand.

   Depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for see & be seen, surf lodge is the perfect spot in Montouk. If you want to enjoy good food and service, definitely recommend to go somewhere else.

   The service there is absolutely the worst and the food is mediocre - Montauk has so many different food options - avoid this one

   The staff is RUDE. We had to wait 45' to get our table and once we sat down the y told us that the kitchen was about to close.

   This is a bottle service club with a velvet rope and a "guest list" masquerading as a restaurant. The drinks are watered down and priced astronomically, the food is inedible and wildly expensive. Our group was charged over $250USD per person with items appearing on our check we had never ordered! The setting seems quaint but IT IS NOT ON THE BEACH and the recent renovation is cheap, right out of Crate and Barrel. If you trip out here expecting to see free live music shows you will hike a great distance (theres no parking) and then spend a miserable night in the parking lot.Now that capacity has been further, significantly reduced, your odds of getting in, even if you are a scantily clad bimbo, are next to nil. The Surf Lodge under Jayma Cardoso's management is the most uncool dining spot in the Hamptons. It is a pretentious bottle service patio which caters to the khaki clad share house crowd. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

    The first table they sat us at smelled like garbage, I think it was situated right in front of where they keep their trash. We complained and it took a lot of pleading to move us to a different table that was still located outside. Finally they moved us, and everything, even the service improved. Our first waitress was not very accommodating so it ended up being a relief to get moved both bec of the smell and the service!
