   Awful! Shocking service, food took forever to arrive and the portions were tiny and the taste bland. What a shame for a place that has such a good location and so many clientele.

   We've been coming here for years and love the place as relaxing environment for families. However on our recent visits this year the service has been awful. Once seated the waiting staff are slow to take orders - we waited over 25 minutes for someone to take ours & then it took an eternity for our drinks order to arrive. During this long wait the kids weren't offered any colouring (which my boys know you do as they've visited since babies!) We had to keep asking for everything (chasing drinks orders, sauces for kids meals, for the table to be cleared & for dessert menu) & often it took 3 attempts before we were served properly. All this in a quite restaurant so can't be blamed on it being busy. Some of the staff in particular gave the impression that they clearly didn't want to be there! Very disappointed as we love the food - especially the pizzas.

   Food was good, service was not we waited an hour for our food. The ketchup and mayonnaise we had to order for our main course came before the starter.

   Eaten in this restaurant a few times all ways excellent, so I suppose one day it and only be good, had fish and chips which was excellent but the mushy peas were tepid, so they went back for a reheat, all apologised and an excellent service in solving the problem, had sticky toffee pudding which again was excellent, I did a special request to omit the ice cream as I have a minor dairy issue, the desert came with ice cream which again was sent back, to be fair the staff then checked if the pudding it self was OK for me as dairy had gone into the manufacture, this I affirmed was OK, it just seemed to me we had so many different staff (seater, order taker deliverer and plate clearer) there was not a server who took ownership of the customer. however I will dine again and put this experience to be a one off.

   We were only staying in Tetbury for the weekend. So tried this place on a Friday night. Food was good once we'd been seated. We arrived early for our booking by 30 mins. Loads of free tables but we were told there was someone on ours which was all a bit odd as we had to then stand in the busy bar and get in all the staffs' way. Finally the penny dropped with the waitress and we were seated at another table. Service was then fine with bigger than average tables. It's just the bar layout is a bit odd

   Serving great food with good ingredients and some imagination. Lively - or perhaps too noisy for quiet conversation.

   Good food, nice atmosphere. Only complaint would be that the courses were massive, starters could be half the size.

    Food excellent, but waited one hour for dessert, were given dessert menu, but no one returned, had to ask for our order, it then took 30 minutes more and we had to ask again, they did not charge for this item.
