The Priory Inn has an outstanding reputation for serving truly local food with an exceptional and very genuine welcome. Converted from an ancient stable-block, the exposed beams, bare boards and walk-around fireplace are minutes walk from the buzzy Cotswolds market town of Tetbury. The Priory Inn team drew a 30 mile circle around Tetbury in 2008 and 90% of their food and drink comes from within that area. They believe everyone should know where their food comes from and the dedication and skill of the local farmers and producers drives them to do justice to the high quality of their food and drink. As well as simply cooked local meats and fresh produce, the Priory Inn's wood-fired oven turns out delicious pizzas and breads. The bar leads with a Cotswold micro-brewery's lagers, cider and wheat beer alongside the very best local real ales. Always welcoming to families, there are lots of home cooked goodies for children - they can make their own pizzas at their table!

Very busy Saturday night after we had been to the Christmas woodland trail at Westonbirt. Unfortunately a very noisy family party was in the vaulted dining area some way from us but their laughter carried everywhere and the acoustics of the building didn't help. Other diners were distrubed too. However, we were told the restaurant will be refurbished in the new year and hopefully that will resolve the issue. The pizzas were huge and tasty! Lots of local ingredients and the waitress very helpful and friendly and went to the trouble of finding scissors to cut off my Weston wristband!

This was a second visit and i must say total disaapointment .food wasnt cooked right deserts were made wrong and very slow service

Last minute decision to go for a meal at the priory inn. So glad that we did. The service was fantastic and fun. (The young man only started that day too. Good luck with the job!) The place was lovely and warm with the open fire in the middle of the restaurant. Lovely touch! As for the meal, my husband and myself did say that that's the best meal we've had out in such a long time. My daughters thoroughly enjoyed their pizza. They even said that it was alot better than pizza hut and dominoes. ☺. All the food was fresh and tasty, just brilliant! Look forward to coming again very soon one day.

Food a little cold, no water delivered to the table for 30 mins despite asking 3 different waitresses. Nice ambience with a lovely fireplace. Staff friendly but not very competent. Wouldn't return.

A very pleasant lunchtime with family. Welcoming with good service and food. A little quiet as it was mid-week and an early lunch. We would all return.
