   I have been to the Pelican Club many times before, but always sat and ate in the bar. I had no idea the dining hall was so loud. I couldn't hear either person beside me at the table. There were shells in the crabmeat on my fish dish and the oyster (which I usually love) did not taste right. I was really disappointed and didn't expect this at all.

   The Pelican Club is a jewel in the French Quarter. We have been enjoying The Pelican Club for over 30 years, with our first visit soon after the restaurant opened. The experience has always been at the highest level. From the warm greeting by the host or hostess, to the service provided by the attentive wait staff, to the delicious meals, every aspect of every visit we have experienced over the years has been top level excellent. With the latest visit we enjoyed the Coolinary Menu, a summer dining experience at many New Orleans restaurants. The Pelican Club offered creative, well executed, delicious choices. The gumbo was amazing. My wife enjoyed her shrimp bisque which featured large whole shrimp! Our appetizers were creative; Vietnamese spring rolls for my wife, and a shrimp and noodle Asian inspired “clay pot” with a tasty broth for me. Entrees were over the top; lobster with shrimp and scallops and, for my wife, a paneed drum fish with crab hollandaise sauce slightly spicy with jalapeños. Finally deserts; coconut pie and the smoothest, very tasty bread pudding. Every dish was delicious! And service by our waiter was flawless. This type of experience has been what we have enjoyed with every visit over the years. The only possible negative is that it can get noisy, due to the elegant real wood walls which can reflect sound. But it is the sounds of people thoroughly enjoying their dinner. The Pelican Club is our favorite dining experience in New Orleans. Highly recommended!

   We had reservations during Coolinary week and the menu was fantastic. Our waiter was attentive and very nice. We totally enjoyed our meal choices. I liked the overall ambience of the restaurant and will definitely go back. The only downside was a party of 12 people were close to us. They were extremely loud and it took away from the more serene atmosphere I was looking forward to. But, they were having a great time and enjoying their meals as well, so what the heck! :)

   We went for Coolinary, so we ordered from that menu. The food was good, but not great. Frustrating not to have bread, which sounds like a small thing, but it says right on the menu that bread service is complimentary. We ate at another very nice FQ restaurant the week before, also ordering from the Coolinary menu, and had bread through the entire service. I just didn't feel that the quality of the food was all that great (shell in my app, tendon in my duck, etc.) and the simplicity of the preparation wasn't elevated enough for fine dining and wasn't worth the price. Also, it was VERY noisy. Service (Kaz and Justin) was great.

   What a great experience. They were very busy on this Saturday night but were able to get us seated fairly quickly. The food was amazing as always. And the waitstaff were wonderful as well.

   Food was amazing as usual. Service was wonderful. Coolinary prices are always top notch. It was loud in there but there was a lot going on in the city that night. We will be back.

   Came here for our 34th anniversary love this place food was amazing. Only drawback got all dressed up as per dress code sit down at our table and next to us was a woman in shorts -tank top with her belly hanging out and flip flops the whole table where dress this way very noisy

   My husband and I have dined here several times over the years and we have never had a bad experience. The food is always great, the service is great, the staff are accommodating. Cannot recommend this place enough.
