The Ocean House has always been one of my favorite restaurants on the Cape, and it is still very nice, but I am disappointed in a few things. We loved to arrive early for our reservation and have a leisurely drink in the bar - no longer! Now you must have a reservation even for the bar. (The night we were there it was quite empty in the bar, so I think they are making a mistake on this one!) We noticed changes in the menu. No more rolls are served, or can even be ordered from the menu! Weird. The former fav dish of lobster/pasta that I often ordered is now made with ramen noodles -meh! A cheaper substitute. Less lobster meat. And no more lobster ravioli! So I guess the menu is mostly Asian now, rather than just an Asian flavor. The prices are outrageous! It was always a bit pricey, but now I felt it was over the top. Especially as many things have been cut back on. The best thing about our evening was nostalgia -- I have enjoyed many memorable meals there. The view is excellent. And the staff and waiter were first rate. Sorry to say, I won't be rushing back, as I prefer the old Ocean House.

Outstanding service and food quality. Was disappointed that bread service has been discontinued especially at these prices. The restaurant is right on the ocean so the view is spectacular. Having eaten here several times I was a bit disappointed with the new menu but the halibut I tried was outstanding. My companion had the filet which she raved about. Give the dessert sampler a try, five different samples all were great. This is a great spot but can seem a little pretentious a times.

We were in the cape during the shoulder season and our B&B host suggested this restaurant as she never sees an open reservation and we’re glad we did. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time and was met by the complimentary valet. We were seated immediately and had a window view. Our waiter was lovely and brought us our drinks which were great. For our main course, I ordered the Chilean sea bass and a side of lobster mac and cheese, and my husband ordered the Omakase (5 selections). The food was cooked perfectly and tasted absolutely amazing. I was so full from the generous portions and had to take a to go box home. My husband ordered the Vietnamese coffee crème brûlée for dessert which he loved. Overall, I give this place 5 stars and would come back the next time we visit the cape.

Verry creative combinations and beautiful presentations. The wedge salad was most unusual and great for sharing. Every seafood dish was superb as were the short ribs. This is a great occasion restaurant right on the water!

This is the 3rd year in a row that we have had dinner at Ocean House and once again we were not disappointed. The food, atmosphere and service were wonderful. Thank you again for a wonderful meal.
