   First time diners, everything was outstanding from the food, ambiance and service (would love to give our server a shout out but didn't save our receipt) first bottle of wine that was suggested was tainted so he allowed us to try another wine of his suggestion and it was absolutely perfect!! Got the flatbread with butterbean spread and mussels with homemade sausage to start... WOW!!! So delicious. Finished off with the Fig Nasty pizza (which was everything BUT nasty) absolutely incredible, and the short rib gnocchi (show stopping!!!) everything was on point from the time between the courses to the AMAZING service. Went downstairs for dessert for chocolate chip and cinnamon gelato with a cappuccino which was the perfect ending to our night!! Loved everything! Will DEFINITELY return!

   We were on vacation in Charleston and definitely worth the drive. Loved the ambiance, energy, drinks and food. Loved sharing the "small" plates as a way of sampling the multitude of delicious sounding meals. Loved everything except the one dessert, coconut pecan cake which was just okay. If we lived closer this would be our go to restaurant.

   Food was excellent. Sharing a number of small plates among 4 people allowed us to sample a number of dishes. The variety of tastes was great. The brussel sprouts and faro and the beets with whipped ricotta and the shrimp salad were outstanding. Try the peach crisp with gelato for dessert. Our waitress Kelly was terrific. I will go back there next time I am in Sullivan's Island.

   Wonderful selection of smaller plates and entrees. Everything we atewas delicious. Lively atmosphere and great service. We would recommend the restaurant wholeheartedly.

   Absolutely one of the best restaurants in the Charleston area. We ate family style with several small plates and one dinner and everything was fantastic. And save some room for some great desserts! If you love great food and are in the Charleston area.....you MUST go to The Obstinate Daughter! I know I will go whenever I am in the area!

   I guess I was expecting this to be an upscale restaurant on SI, and we were dressed to impress. We were celebrating my birthday, and from the reviews I had read, it appeared to be a nice restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. It is not - at best it is a glorified pizza place. We were given a bench and chair table right by the swinging kitchen door. We really didn't enjoy the food, the atmosphere, or anything about this restaurant. High price for small plates and pizza. We drove from Summerville and left disappointed.

   We had a marvelous time. We used the elevator for some less mobile members of our party - greatly appreciated. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient and the food was perfect. We usually enjoy sitting at the bar, but tables are also great options. Overall, a superior place. We'll be back.

   Very creative, tasty food choices. The wait staff is well trained and friendly. The bartender knew what they were doing as well. Great little "foodie" restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

   A very good restaurant that maintains its consistency over time. Always an interesting menu. While not a cheap place to eat, the prices are reasonable. Attentive and friendly servers. We look forward to returning!
