   I was taking my good friend out to lunch. We had my favorite server who comped her desert and, as always, took wonderful care of us!!

   Super cute place hidden in downtown Davis. Great for getting off the beaten path.

   We went there for Easter dinner with a 7.45 pm reservation. We left half way through our meal as the entire room was being loudly and disruptively cleaned and prepared all around us, for the next day's service presumably. We were the only ones in the room but left feeling as though we were holding up the closing even though it wasn't at all late. We took 2/3 of our food and skipped dessert and another drink. There was nobody anywhere to be seen once we paid the bill and we let ourselves out. Also, the second server in the dining room had several extremely loud and long conversations with a couple she was serving, so loudly that we couldn't even carry on a conversation at our table. This was our third time dining there and the first very disappointing experience, from start to finish.

   This was our first visit - the steak and chicken dishes were incredible. We sat outside, which was lovely on a warm night.

   Good food and great service. I love the sesame cracker from the cheeseboard, and my duck breast is so tender. The salmon looks beautiful by the way, have to order next time!

   Visiting UC Davis for admitted students weekend. My son and I decided to try this place. We had the crab cakes appetizer, caesar salad, and Ragu. All very good. Would go back. Excellent service as well.

   I always love dining at the Mustard Seed, but last night the service was not good. Josh was not attentive and it took 30 minutes for us to get our food, which is not normal for this wonderful restaurant! My duck was delicious though.

    The rack of lamb was excellent! Service was impeccable as well. Staff went above and beyond, we left an item behind and they tracked us down and arranged for pick up the next morning.
