We have been to The Little Village several times and we were truly disappointed at our recent visit. When we approached the hostess stand, we were the only ones there and yet it took the hostess a solid 2 minutes to acknowledge us (she definitely saw us). The food was underseasoned and not the quality we remembered. We will be finding a new special occasion restaurant

Started with the hostess advising our reserved table would not be available for a few minutes. In the meantime, folks were leaving the rest unhappy with the service. We sat 15 minutes late. Our server was overwhelmed. The food ultimately was good. The server got orders wrong on 3 different occasions. We chalked it up to being very busy on a Tuesday night where the restaurant did not expect the volume. But.our review applies to the service recieved.

Made a reservation for a TABLE for two. We were seated on a bench style seat between other diners. This is the second time that we have been seated in this spot. It is too close to other diners and nearly impossible to carry on a conversation with the person you are dining with. We asked the hostess for a different table and were promptly told there were no other options. There were empty regular tables available- but were told they were for other customers. Several tables remained empty throughout our entire meal. Our server was “meh,” She was difficult to hear above the crowd and had to be reminded of several things throughout the meal. The food was ok. Steak was not prepared correctly- ordered medium and it was bloody. The Little Village was once a favorite spot of ours to dine. Not so much anymore. Better service, better food, better ambiance can be found on other BR restaurants. *Hostess borderlined on just being plain rude. Did not try to accommodate our request in the least.

I had a great experience with my family at this location recently. The food was very well seasoned, and the seafood was beyond fresh. I think the portions on certain items could be increased like the Arancine, because it was very flavorful and delicious, but most Italian restaurants will give you more than one to try. And despite a mild issue with an entrée, the manager quickly resolved it, and made sure I enjoyed the replacement entrée. Drew was very kind and knowledgeable, and when I come back to the city I would likely stop in for dinner again

The Italian sausage & spaghetti was excellent, as was the garlic bread! Enjoyed my cocktail and the overall ambience very much. My veal Milanese was tough but the service staff took care of things. Overall good experience.

The Village needs to quit changing things. Been going to The Village since the original one on Airline Highway. Always my favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. The famous bread we love was very cold and the new plating style for our dishes was inappropriate. Deal piccata was served in a bowl on top of the pasta that looked like soup because of the huge amount of sauce. The service was great but The Village you can do better! Shame on you for not continuing the wonderful tradition.

Outstanding dining experience. Comfortable ambiance, extremely professional and accomodating wait staff, and very reasonable prices! Well done Mr. Freeze, you are a gentleman and a scholar.
