Our first time at the lake house! Beautiful location and view. Food was good, not mind blowing but everything tasted good and was cooked well, the risotto in particular was delicious. Cocktails were very good, and dessert was also very good. Highly recommend the espresso martini. Our server was impeccable, very personable and attentive. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic server with excellent food! My boyfriend forgot his wallet inside and they ran it out to us before we even noticed it was missing. We also had a beautiful view and thoroughly enjoyed our time! I would (and have been!!) recommending the lake house to all.

This was our first time at The Lake House and we were charmed the moment we walked in. We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday for my husband's birthday, and despite the peak hour, we were given a table with a glorious lakeside view, just as requested. The sun sparkling on the water, the rustic ambience, a giant stone fireplace roaring away, the great woodland trees sprouting from the island and shoreline across from us, with ducks floating by as we ordered our appetizer and drinks, all set in the heart of one of Calgary's more established neighbourhoods, it was enchanting. Oh yes, the food and service! Lol, I'd forgotten for a moment. We were served by an eager young man named Franny, a college graduate who had just purchased his very first home. He was kind and affable, a little busy at times while we waited for the odd refill, but he was attentive and checked in with us regularly throughout the meal, getting to know us a little and wishing my husband a happy birthday. He was very disarming and we appreciated his service. The food was good. I ordered a hand-rolled pasta dish with bits of lobster in a light cream sauce. It was surprisingly large for an appetizer, I had not known quite what to expect until it was placed in front of me. I commented to my husband that it was practically a meal in itself, though thankfully one of the other table attendants spotted my reaction and offered to bring a second plate to divide the dish amongst us. The pasta was warm, fresh and topped with a grassy herb I cannot name. The flavoring was a slight disappointment; too subtle for a dish touting something as succulent as lobster in the title. For our main dishes, my husband ordered the salmon and I ordered the duck. He enjoyed the fish, it was cooked perfectly and had a nice baked crust to it, served with asparagus (slightly overdone) and a few very pretty potato florets. My duck was juicy and tender. I adored the crispy croquettes. We fell in love with The Lake House.

Was our anniversary dinner and from the time we were seated to the time we were served dessert, we felt special. They provided a complimentary glass of champagne at the start and a special nod with our dessert. Our server, Darcy, was exceptional. He provided menu recommendations, was attentive throughout and made the evening a pleasurable one. Prices are a bit steep, but where aren’t they these days. Would definitely return again!

Very good meal. Shared lobster tagglione and dessert, peanut butter cake. Both of us had fish, me, scallops, my wife, salmon. Again, very good. Service was best we’ve had here - perfect.

Love the vibe, service was very good, the food was good but only slightly above average. Given the cost I want the food to have flavors that really zing
