   The food, ambience, and service were all excellent. I strongly recommend the wine pairing — each wine perfectly complemented the course. It’s pricey, but well worth it for the high quality of the experience.

   Had high expectations for this restaurant. The experience overall was alright. Nothing close to what I expected. The food 9/10. Drinks were 8/10. The service was amazing, except we felt excluded. The New owner went around and greeted all the tables except ours. He didn't seem happy. There a 15 min break in the middle of the meal to explore the restaurant and we took a trip to the kitchen. Had a lovely conversation with the chefs until the owner cut us off mid conversation to speak to his chefs. Kind of rude.

   The Hobbit has been one me and my husbands favorite extra special occasion place for 10 years. The price does mean we’ve only been able to go a couple of times, but the experience has made it worth it every single time. The food is delicious, the wine pairing on point, and the ambiance elegant and elevated. I was worried after reading some reviews that it was not as up to snuff after the new owner, but we did not find that to be the case and it continues to impress us. This is more than fine dining, it’s an experience. I do however miss the hors d’oeuvre carts in the wine cellar during cocktail hour.

   The food and presentation were great. It was nice checking out the wine cellar for us to see their selection. They were very accommodating once they realized two of us were celebrating our birthdays. They brought out another little dessert treat for us. Thank you for doing that.

   Experience was good. Food just ok. 2 people in our party got sick when getting home.

   Such a charming space with delicious food and a stocked wine cellar. They were able to handle our party’s dietary restrictions with advance notice. The six course meal featured an intermission where we could speak to the chef in the kitchen and lounge outside on the patio. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for fine dining in Orange County.

   Perfect dinner experience. Plan to be there for a solid 4 hours. Cocktail hour in the wine cellar allowed us to personally choose a bottle post owner recommendation! The scallop was so tender and melted in your mouth. The mushroom risotto that was served was also delicious- I don’t even like mushrooms. The intermission was lovely. You could spend time outdoors on their patio as well as explore the restaurant and the kitchen. The best part of the dinner was by far the ribeye paired with a lovely red wine reduction sauce- cooked perfectly- with a potato croquette. The entire evening was lovely and I will definitely be back.

   The service was absolutely amazing, all the staff and very knowledgeable, welcoming, and friendly. The food was superb from start to finish, wine pairing was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful inside, awesome wine cellar and beautifully set tables. Would definitely recommend

    By far the BEST dinning experience I have ever encountered…it was AMAZING. As if out of a dream. The mood was romantic, the food fed my soul, and the service was divine!!! Such an incredible experience I am very fortunate to have had. Would dine here again for another special occasion. Thank you to all the staff and chefs for their magic!!!
