   It's a while since we have eaten here. Dinner in the past was good but lunch was really disappointing. Possibly the chef was missing today but we had rock hard bread and dried old chicken. The staff didn't charge for the meals that were affected, so our thanks for that, but based on today's experience we wouldn't return.

   The staff and ambience was good. Overall experience was let down by the food. The food portion was very sparse and for the price we paid it was a bit of a disappointment

   Was a birthday celebration and table reserved under TV. Had to ask for menus. Requested a move to the restaurant then had to nag to order drinks and give our menu choices. No one elsein the restaurant so no ambiance. No Amaretto to have with my coffee. Celebrating my birthday with my family and was SO disappointed and felt q flat afterwards.

   Not normally one to complain but we went for a roast on Mother’s Day. Now I understand that it should be busy and things can be slow but we went at 3pm and the restaurant was half empty. We were sat on a really small table and asked if we could move to a bigger table as we were struggling for space. The waitress said “No” without any explanation even though there were numerous empty tables around us. So we continued to sit on this tiny table for the rest of our meal. So we only had the set menu to choose from (not a problem). 2/5 starters were sold out. So myself and my wife ordered from what was available. My wife’s starter arrived. Mine never did. After this my son’s kids roast arrived which he quite enjoyed. Then my roast came which was the same size as the kids portion. At this point we gave up and asked for the bill. The manager at the least took some stuff off the bill. Can safely say won’t be going back.

   For mother day service it was poor , food was slap dash . Bar staff was hardly seen .

   Food was good but don’t ask for an after dinner coffee as they close the machine down….around 9pm ! It’s more a boozer than a pub bistro that’s just my humble opinion!!

   All good! Lovely service and very kind staff! The food was great. Did not wait too long. It is pricey, but I guess it's just London. With a couple of pounds less on each meal it would be perfect! I recommend the puddings. Wow.

   Went here as a group of new mums - it's a family friendly pub with great food at good value and achilled atmosphere.
