   Nice venue and well accommodated with the dog. Food was enjoyable and tasty. If I'm totally honest, I think it's a little overpriced, but that's probably the DFL clientele influence.

   Lovely food again as always. We visit regularly and always love the food and selection. The Hake main was off the charts good! We also love the service always smiling and so friendly.

The gluten-free fish and chips has indeed been a much-loved staple for many of our regulars. I’ll speak with our chef about the possibility of reintroducing it as a gluten-free option.    Worst experience dining I’ve ever had, service was appalling, staff had no idea what menu was, bar staff don’t integrate with kitchen or front of house (if there is one), it’s a complete shambles. Grill menu stated choice of extras, crispy potatoes, ok that would work better with gressingham duck, red cabbage & beetroot jus better than chips (could have offered new potatoes or dauphinois), the crispy potatoes arrived with 2 dollops on top?..on tasting it was mayonnaise & insipid tomato ketchup ..really? to accompany the duck…won’t be going back, most unpleasant lunch & we were treated as an inconvenience..

   Some discrepancies with wine by the glass vs a bottle. I think because wine by the glass is on tap but this is a guess - we would have liked a bottle with the meal but not available!

   Lovely evening at The George last night. Great service, great food, great ambiance, very much like it used to be before the fire and Covid. Would definitely recommend to family and friends

   We ordered the cote de boeuf, the cooking was good but the cut of meat was poor. Grizzly and fatty so we couldn’t eat it all making it poor value for money I expected better quality meat. Service was very good and restaurant was lovely. Whitebait starter was very tasty.

   Great food, nicely cooked. Lovely ambience, a nice olde worlde pub in the middle of Rye. I had booked a table for 1 pm. When we arrived we were met with a man who seemed to have no idea I had booked a table and hurredly pushed two tables together for our party of 4 people. No smile or greeting, "hello" welcome would have been so nice - the simple niceties were missing....

    Had a nice experience for Mother’s Day. We had a lovely waiter and he was so polite to us and funny, a real honest gentleman, took photos and was very considerate of us. I hope he’s recognised for his service. The food was nice I had a lovely medium rare steak, and the vegetarian option was beautiful in presentation. The desserts was nice but could have been better. The only downside was that one of the chefs was very loud, it started off a little annoying but he got more funnier by the end of the night, but he was a little loud, but he was having fun and we all need more of that these days. The waiter thought was 10/10
