   My fourth visit to The Gardeners Cottage and my friend's first! She loved it! The food is superb and excellent value for the taste, quality and inventive cuisine. We both had the Halibut which was perfectly cooked and served with the nicest leeks I've ever eaten, and a wonderful smoky sauce. The Almond Tart was delicious, followed by a Mulled Wine tea infusion. Highly recommended and a hidden gem just a few moments walk from the Playhouse Theatre. A must visit for foodies!

   This was the best meal I've ever had. Several courses laid out over an hour or two, just the right size. But the creativity, the flavors, just amazing. And it was just so completely unpretentious. Exceedingly cozy, very laid back but attentive service. Phenomenal.

   Superb food - a symphony of flavours and a beautiful presentation - prepared with freshest ingredients and lots of attention to detail. One of the best dining experiences - consistently excellent and amazing!

   Food was excellent, with very unique preparations. The chef's choice wine pairings were excellent. Ambiance was quaint and charming. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating.

   I took my wife along for her birthday and the place was great as was the food and service. It's really nice to eat seasonal food which is well prepared and presented.

   Tasty Sunday brunch, delicious beetroot Vergin Mary, social atmosphere, good service, good conversion with other guests. A must for any Edinburgh visitors and locals a like. Will be back!

   The long table, sitting right next to your neighbours seating was off putting at first but actually we met some lovely people and had great fun. There was nothing the staff seemed unable to accommodate in terms of allergies and food dis-likes. A great overall experience!
