   The service was beyond our expectations. The menu was over priced in my opinion, but we understood that we would be paying for the experience.

   This was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. We were welcomed with rose petals on the table, a sparkling wine toast as lodge guests, deviled eggs, and some homemade bread with oil (have you ever had an oil candle? We hadn't either - was a beautiful and tasty touch). The food was wonderful - full of flavor, beautifully presented, and excellent portions. When I was trying to decide what to order, a neighboring patron excitedly told me that I had to get the homemade bucatini and scallops. So be it... it was delicious. My husband ordered the oyster special and loved it (I'm not an oyster fan) as well as his sirloin and the side of grits and cheese curds. We could have ate an entire bowl of just the cheese curds. Even with stuffed bellies, we had to order dessert which we topped the night off with the chocolate mousse, candied hazelnuts and vanilla ice cream... The rich mouse paired perfectly with the hazelnuts and ice cream. They even added a sweet little 'Happy Anniversary' chocolate on our dessert. The service was top-notch (Thank you Jenette). We highly recommend making this your next dinner for anything special.

   Our visit to The Dining Room at the Salish Lodge was wonderful and memorable. I had their delicious salmon lunch, and it was delicious! We sat by a crackling fireplace which was perfect for a chilly New Year's Day. Perfect day in every way!

    We usually receive amazing food and service which is why we booked here for our New Year’s Eve dinner while we had family in town. It unfortunately was a miss; we got there a little early to have a cocktail in the new lounge bar but that kicked off the downward spiral as the bartender seemed inexperienced and unable to make basic drinks (old fashion and dirty martini). We then got sat for dinner and it took over an hour just to get our salads with our server no where to be found. I understand this could be a busy night for most establishments but everyone seemed unprepared for the influx in customers. Consistency goes a long way especially when you’re paying for it. Overall, disappointing and hope they learn how to staff appropriately next time.
