   It was my moms 95th birthday. The staff made every effort to make it a special occasion . There was a card from the chef on the table when we got there, and the foid and the service were excellent. Everyone wished her a happy birthday and was very friendly. We all had a wonderful time and it was an outstanding experience .

   We had a resavation for 7:15 and @ 7:15 we where seated. Starting with a appetizer and ending with dessert the food was outstanding and fabulous.

   This place was a pleasant suprise in Haysville, NC. The menu had several tasty options, the drinks were refreshing, the wine was notable, and the service was spot on. The food came out properly plated, and tasty. I would not hesitate to recomend this and plan on returning when I'm in the area.

   The waitress needs retrained in table etiquette. She was unsure of the specials and stumbled over her words. She was sloppy when making my husbands banana foster. When asking to have my dinner wrapped up to go she scrapped the table crumbs onto my plate with trash. I told her I was taking that home but now I guess for my dogs. The food was amazing and I will go again but if she is still a waitress I will request not to be seated in her area.

   Always glad the Copper Door is open Christmas Eve as it is my wife's birthday. Just a little disappointed this year. The steak was excellent but the lamb chops were just so, so. Everything else was very good. Also, even though when Copper Door called to confirm my reservations and confirm it was my wife's birthday, there was no acknowledgement. Singing waiters are not wanted or expected in a 5 star restaurant like this but a complimentary glass of wine or dessert would have been appreciated.

    The Copper Door is simply superb in ALL avenues. My family and I have eaten in some of the most famous and recognized places in the world and honestly, the Copper Door does not get any better and all other restaurants need to "take notes" from this family owned fine dining restaurant in Hayesville, North Carolina. The service is second to none and the food and wine list simply enhance the experience. The Chef/Owner is 100% present, involved and hands on. All of the food is incredible. Their Salmon and Tuna appetizers are a must. My wife and daughter love all the dishes and their Filet Mignon is 5 star! 3 nights ago I treated myself to the Lamb chops. Again, EVERYTHING at the Copper Door is perfect! A special thanks to the owner/Chef and his daughter for being in Hayesville and providing us with this great restaurant and fine dining experience EVERY TIME!!!! The Fink family
