   Lovely Sunday roast. The food was fabulous as always and the staff are just so nice and welcoming. One of our favourite local pubs!

   We randomly selected The Cat Inn for lunch. Excellent choice. The hospitality, kitchen, food and service on offer, resulted in a truly satisfying experience.

   Nice atmosphere, a bit noisy because of high ceilings and high spirits. Food: great snacks. Carrot/cashew vegetarian main course was creatively conceived and executed but a little too sweet. Some capers or salted rather than candied cashews and a smear of something salty/vinegary/umami would have helped. My co-diner loved the SMA. Delicious biscuit outshone the slightly bland ice cream by some way. More than one vegetarian option would be nice... though it was refreshing that the one there was, was much more interesting than the too frequent pasta-or-nothing. Service: was professional, organised yet informal and very welcoming and good humoured. I can be a bit of a sullen diner and it really cheered me up.

   Dined as a family and we all loved the choice of food - beautifully cooked and portions not too large. We are really lucky to be near such a good pub restaurant. Staff were lovely, attentive but not intrusive.

    Food was absolutely excellent and very good value for money. Lovely vibe in this place hugely helped by the amazing (mad) Ally! Along with her partner in crime the equally lovely Lisa. You can tell a good place by how the staff are. They look happy in their work which means very happy customers :) thank you for a delicious experience, we'll be back! Elaine & Dave
