   The tavern is a new favorite. The staff was very attentive without being overbearing. The food was very good, as was the bar.

   We frequent different restaurants every weekend but always come back to The Black Horse Tavern. The menu is fairly varied and the food has always been good. The shrimp appetizer could be a meal in itself, as the shrimp are super huge, and delicious. Hubby ordered the filet mignon which was accompanied with steak fries and veggies. My salmon was perfectly cooked, and accompanied with my favorite, grilled veggies.

   Food was great and the service superb. Not normally into quiet dining but the ambience was perfect for good conversation.

   Lovely restaurant Setting in a carriage house. Appetizers at market price, for lump crab cocktail and colossal shrimp, both were excellent. Not overwhelmed with either entrées, husband had rotisserie prime rib, little fatty, it was OK and I had a seafood dish with little neck clams, scallops, salmon and shrimp with couscous, just not up to par with my expectations. Wait staff was attentive however forgot my husbands appetizer, though it was brought out and then brought our meals prior to us finishing our appetizers, so felt I was being rushed. All in all beautiful setting, but we left a little disappointed with entrees!

   We went out early on a Friday, before 7pm, for date night. Service was prompt and pleasant. The steaks were phenomenal as always. Very pleased with a quiet corner take as well!

   Food was very good and the service by the waitress and manager was very attentive. Atmosphere during our stay was comfortable and quiet.

   We had a lovely Mother’s Day Lunch at 1:15. It was peak period and rainy so the Valet and the Service were a touch slow but certainly within the acceptable level. Good was classic and quite good. We all had Lunch/Dinner items But the breakfast items looked very good as well.

    The sweet potato mash under the scallops was one of the best things I’ve tasted! Guitar player good but loud for small dining area. Will return.
