The great British pub is back and it's right at the heart of East Finchley.

The Bald Faced Stag pub, on the corner of High Road and East End Road and only a 2 minute walk from East Finchley tube station, is a beautiful pub with hints of old and new creating an amazing contemporary atmosphere throughout the week. With a menu filled with seasonal specials, pub classics and Sunday roasts to knock your socks off, our dining room is a must-visit for foodies around East Finchley and Muswell Hill.

We take pride in our huge pub garden, which is available all year round thanks to our heaters and covers. Our beautiful mother tree stands proud in the center and makes for a romantic spot.

Food was quite good and service pleasant. Unfortunately the front bar where you enter was very shabby and really smelled foul. If that area gets a good clean it would help improve first impressions!

We didn't have any starters, both enjoyed our main courses very much, and the desserts were also both good. The Stag dining area was a pleasant place to eat, and we will definitely go back there again soon.

Good service and fresh pints. Food is not worth the price unfortunately.

The food is excellent. The service is excellent. The place is lovely. My only criticism is the portion sizes are slightly on the small side. Apart from that it’s a great place and I go there a lot

It’s a lovely dining room at the Bald Face Stag but unfortunately the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be. We had two very lovely servers but service was slow and when we questioned why our brownies didn’t have the coffee ice cream & honeycomb advertised, another member of staff told us we’d ordered the children’s version which only came with vanilla. We didn’t. But accepted this and ate it. But when the bill came, surprise surprise we’d been charged full price for the brownies. When I asked the same member of staff about it, she just took bull and changed it to kids. No apology, nothing. And we suspect other diners were being given this pudding and being charged full price. Dishonest, underhand and bad customer service on her part. Don’t think we’ll be going back for food which is a shame as it used to be really good.

Food was disgusting - frozen, dry, old Service good, guy offered a glass of wine as apology for poor food Atmosphere is nice there , staff are super lovely but shocking shocking quality of food

Great food ,lovely service but very slow over 2 hours to get mains done - left no time for desserts or coffee etc .
