   We celebrated my Fathers birthday on Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was festively decorated and welcoming. The set menu had a great selection to choose from and the portions very generous. Excellent quality and value for money; I highly recommend this restaurant. We visited around the same time last year but in the evening, both occasions have been wonderful and exceeded my expectations.

   Went to The Alpine with partner and two adult children. Haven't been for a while but was very happy we went back. As usual all courses were excellent. Pasta starter of pappardelle with pheasant ragu was generous and lovely. My daughter had this as a main course and was too full to finish it!! Calves liver main course also large portion and cooked well. Desserts were delicious too. Service was good & friendly. Zucchini side order that was missing with main courses was promptly delivered piping hot. Will definitely go back and won't leave it so long for our next visit!

   We have eaten here before and it is our favourite local Italian restaurant. A great choice of food and wine and service with a smile!

   superb food presented beautifully, and better value now as they have introduced a 2 course set menu. definitely worth a visit

   We were a party of 4 attending the restaurant early in the evening. It was not particularly busy - which for us is a bonus - so the service was very good and the waiters very attentive. The food was as usual excellent - which is the main reason we like to visit on special occasions. The cost is a little pricey but you can always be assured of excellent food and a good choice on the menu, so it is worth the extra.

   A Wednesday evening dinner the restaurant was lovely the service was great and the food was perfect they went to the special effort for my girlfriends birthday

   We were a large party - staff had attitude not very friendly although they sang Happy Birthday to Grandad. Fish cakes not good nor the beef.

   The 'rare beef' I'd requested was overcooked to the point of being like a tanned hide. It took at least 5 mins to gain the waiter's attention & request a replacement. This took another 15 minutes. Bear in mind there were only three other tables dining….a rare steak should take more than five minutes. Puddings, another 25 minute wait, followed by coffee which arrived much more quickly. The fixed price lunch menu is good value. A service charge of 12.5% is added to the bill. You are not pushed into having wine and tap water is provided with no fuss at all. Few people dining at lunchtime may account for the deficient ambience. On the other hand, if service takes so long when it’s quiet how on earth do they manage when the place is busy?

   We went to the Alpine to celebrate 2 birthdays. The service was exemplary and entertaining. The food was well presented, well prepared and very good value, We'll be going again soon.

    we had a very enjoyable meal,and there was a lovely atmosphere,The food took a little while to come,but the staff were apologetic and gave us some free starters while we were waiting.I would recommend this restaurant and hope to go again.
