Ticket price includes a special tasting led by John & Martin... and of course a live hand rolled cigar. Join Martin and John for a fun whisky filled evening at 6:30 on the Patio, appetizers will be served. The Tam is always such a wonderful place to go during the holidays. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is so festive. My good friend and I have been coming for years and mainly for the Dickens carolers and this year did not disappoint! There were three groups performing around the restaurant and we were delighted to have at least a half dozen table-side performances. The service was good considering how busy it was and we both had the filet mignon, which was quite tender and flavorful. My friend’s was a bit undercooked, but our server took care of it and quickly returned it hot and cooked to her liking. If you’re looking for a place with good food and service and a joyous holiday spirit and beautifully sung Christmas carols, definitely check out the Tam.

We celebrated my birthday here. Thankfully the carolers were still around. Food was delicious as always.

The Tam O’Shanter has always been good. We asked for an outside seating, but today is over cast and cold. Still we sat outdoor under a heater. It was warm enough and private. The Birsket plate at lunch is tone of their best . I had the BBQ scrimp , with grits and collard greens. The greens were to salty but good in general. We had H.H. Brown co=chocolate sauce on vanilla ice cream , ny usband’s favorite.

Going to Tam O'Shanter for Christmas Eve has been something my husband and I have been doing for over 15yrs. We love coming to Tam for the Christmas decor and my favorite the carolers. This year was different. As we walked in, we were greeted by several ladies at the front desk. Yes we were greeted by them, but they were not in a jolly mood in any way, shape or form. I know working on Christmas Eve is not what folks want to be doing but the attitudes were not a great way to start our evening. Sadly, once seated the carolers had just left the room we were in. They never returned till we had finished paying our bill and were on our way out. 1.75hrs and no carolers in our room. The service was lacking, but our poor waiter had several larger parties to deal with. Our bus boy pretty much took care of us. I know it can't be a wonderful experience all the time but this holiday was pretty hard for us and we were hoping to have a great evening.

Everything wonderful except that horseradish was forgotten with the roast prime rib Lawry's dinner -waitress or server responsible, don't know, had to ask another server to bring some. Otherwise great great food, service, decor, Xmas ambience, charming carolers. A fine Xmas tradition.
