Opened in June 1922, The Tam O'Shanter boasts a rich, storied history and warm, inviting atmosphere. We’re proud to be in our 10th decade of continuous service. We originally considered it a quiet pastoral road stop, since Los Feliz Boulevard was just an unpaved country lane traversed by rabbits and rabbit hunters, in that order.
Everything changed when Walt Disney and his animators, set designers, and crews began trekking out between takes for a bite and a refreshment. So often, in fact, that the Tam was once dubbed “The Studio Commissary.”

Ticket price includes a special tasting led by John & Martin... and of course a live hand rolled cigar. Join Martin and John for a fun whisky filled evening at 6:30 on the Patio, appetizers will be served. This is a communal seating event guests will have free run of the garden to enjoy cigars after or during the tasting. ALL GRATUITY GOES DIRECTLY TO YOUR SERVICE TEAM. All sales final. If you’ve never been here, it’s a nice experience. Great food, reasonable prices, excellent full bar. Always make a reservation. They have plenty of seating but it does get full. No street parking only valet.

This place is a one-of-a-kind, absolutely wonderful fires glowing, and incredible architecture and ambience all around with food that was old-school delicious. The shepherds pie was probably the best I've ever had homemade bread and reasonable prices.Please stay for another 100 years!!!!

We met dear friends there for an early dinner. We were seated in a lovely eclectic large back room that oozed character with decor and a general sense of honoring the vintage building. Our server was Derick and he provided historic info, humor & knowledge about the menu. We were having such a good time that it took us awhile to realize the room was now filled with patrons. We never knew they were there! A testament to how well the room absorbed the noise. Food was very good and service just wonderful. Thank You Derick Tam O’shanter!!

My prime rib was perfect. Love the fluffy horseradish. Creamed corn was nice and crunchy as was the popover. Also my Mexican coffee was perfect. My friend ordered the cauliflower masala and she said it was very tasty. The manager came by to check on us and she was delightful.
