The Oaks Restaurant and Tavern at the Sugar Hill Inn is a romantic getaway known for culinary adventure. Chef Val Fortin provides a selection of traditional fine dining options with carefully crafted seasonal menus along with nightly amuse bouche and entree specials. With an intimate dining room, the combination of great food, wine and conversation make dining with us a unique and lovely experience. For special occasions, the coursed menu offers a well balanced symphony of flavors and leads guests through a leisurely, romantic and artistic culinary experience. Great wines and a full bar selection enhances the experience. The Sugar Hill Inn has received the Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA) award, Best of New Hampshire 2015, Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2009-2018, Member of the Select Registry, 2013 Yankee Magazine Editors' Choice and featured in "Everyday with Rachel Ray."

Duck confit was excellent, but the swordfish was overcooked and dry, as was the merguez sausage. The service was excellent, the small dining room was very nice, music was appropriate and overall the setting was elegant. Nice salad and desserts. We chose the package deal for two and the price was about right for what we got.

The Inn is very welcoming and comfortable. All of the staff were attentive, friendly and cheerful. The food was awesome!! The breakfast included with the stay was yummy - from the fresh baked muffins & scones to the assorted main courses. Our dinner options covered seafood, lamb and steak and all were excellent! We highly recommend you go for a get-away but at least go for dinner. You won't be disappointed.

Celebrated our elopement here! Staff was wonderful! Dinner was delicious! Had a great night! Can’t wait to come back for many years to have our anniversary dinners here! ☺️

My husband and I stayed at Sugar Hill Inn on Saturday 3/2/2024 and had dinner in the dining room. It was excellent! The food and drinks were phenomenal and we had a wonderful server. We can't wait to go back!

This was my first visit under the new management. Having such wonderful experiences in the past, I was hesitant, but everything was wonderful and I will be visiting soon again.

We had two dinners and a breakfast meal here. Hope the server was incredible. Two meals stuck out as beyond phenomenal, roasted duck with mushroom risotto and butternut squash puree and for breakfast Saturday chef made by far one of the breakfasts I’ve ever had. Sausage gravy and biscuits. It sounds so basic but believe me it was elevated to another level.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The food was fresh, delicious, and prepared with care. Unfortunately several of the open wine options were unavailable. The wine we did have was very good, though. Altogether an excellent dining experience.
