It is one of the oldest Indiana restaurants in its original location & has earned a national reputation for its excellent steaks, seafood, chops & professional service. Try our famous St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail followed by a dry-aged USDA Prime Steak. We happily accommodate special requests; please call the restaurant directly.     The food and beverages, as always, did not disappoint. What truly elevated the evening was the exceptional service. The waitstaff struck the perfect balance between professionalism and personality. Their friendly banter and warm conversation made the experience not only refined but genuinely fun. We felt welcomed and at ease throughout the entire meal. A special shoutout goes to Phillip, who was an absolute standout. His attentiveness, charm, and expert recommendations made our night unforgettable. Phillip is a five-star talent, and we’ll be requesting him on our next visit! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable fine dining experience.

    The baked potato came out cold and the steak that was be be grilled to medium came out rare and cold. The baked potato was replaced as soon as the server was made aware of it but the server never came back to the table to inquire about the steaks. A lot of money for what you receive but very pricing is similar to all steakhouses.

    Amazing. A must-try, iconic, historic venue if you’re in Indianapolis. The shrimp cocktail is out of this world. We also split a Caesar salad which was a perfect portion for 2. Our aged steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned. For a rich dessert—try the Butter Bourbon Caramel Cake with a scoop of Vanilla Bean ice cream.

    You don’t become an ICON on accident! St Elmo reaffirmed their place as one of the truly exception independent restaurants in Indiana. The service was impeccable. It speaks volumes that so much of the staff has been there for decades. The food was exactly what you expect of a great steakhouse: perfect temp on the steaks, incredible sides, and served timely. The wine list is second to none.

    Most of the food was good. The King Crab Mac N Cheese was very fishy and I would never order that again, and hardly any crab meat for 36 dollars. We left over half of it uneaten. The server was excellent
