   Food and atmosphere. Service is great. It's a bit pricey, but it is definitely worth it.

   We have been going to Simon Pearce every fall for almost 30 years. We always love looking around the showroom, shopping their ever-increasingly priced blown glass and pottery and having a lovely lunch. Again, lunch was great but we were bummed that you now need to pay for rolls/brown bread- always previously free. We had to purchase 2 orders for our group of 5. And then when they arrived there were 4 rolls and 4 pieces of bread for group of 5. I think Simon Pearce could have and should have provided our table with 5. Of seems small, but it’s really just the message being sent. I don’t know what the intended message was. We have all always gotten the sesame seed chicken for lunch, but this year it was thighs not breasts. One member of our group got it and agreed that breasts are better. Our service was awesome, however, and the views can’t be beat! And we all still spent a lot of money on Simon Pearce glassware. Hope Simon reads this review and reconsiders at least the bread!

   The food was fresh and innovative. The server., Casey was attentive, thorough and charming. The ambience is comfortable and natural with a touch of elegance thanks to the tableware.

   Wonderful lunch! Wine selected as the offering of the day was delicious and paired well with our meal. Soups were outstanding especially the mushroom. Looking forward to a return trip.

   One of the best crab cakes I’ve had because of its special flavoring. The salad with goat cheese was also delicious.

   Great overall experience, though I have had better meals here. Not saying it was bad, just not as great as I’ve usually come to expect. Service was good, not great. Never really checked in on us to see how the meal was. Started with the bread service which has reduced in size (not happy about that). My wife had the lamb stew which she loved. I had the steak frites, and the steak was a bit fatty and chewy. Cooked well, but I’ve had better cuts of meat here. For dessert we had the triple chocolate cake which was heavenly. Restaurant was a bit busy and we had an 8 person party right on top of us which also took away from the ambiance, which is another reason for the decrease in score today. Again, good, just not as great as usual.

   Simon Pearce is in a lovely location and has been our go-to restaurant in the Upper Valley for 27 years. However, the quality of the food has steadily declined in the last few months. The service staff is pleasant but less professional. Regrettably, the last several times we have eaten there, we've been disappointed. For example, we were served an expensive bottle of wine that had turned—not realizing this until after we started drinking it. During the same meal, my pasta dish was served cold, and last night, my chicken dish was not cooked through. My husband's lamb was flavorless. Let's hope they will work toward their once excellent restaurant again.

   We had lunch 2 years ago and dinner recently and totally enjoyed each time. The ambiance, the food, the drinks and the service was wonderful. My husband and I had the braised lamb Osso Bucco and it was perfectly done. We would definitely recommend eating there, plus you get to enjoy the glass blowing and gift shop.

    I am so disappointed that we are charged for bread with our meal!! That is unheard of! Please return to complimentary bread. Thank you!
