Wine lovers take note, we will be hosting an exclusive wine and food pairing dinner celebrating the Wines of Rioja, Spain, on Monday, May 12. This will be a ticketed event featuring a 5 course dinner with paired Rioja wines for each course, led by a representative from Bodegas Faustino, one of Rioja's most respected producers. Tickets are limited, please call 647-464-3310 for more information.

Indulge in our latest offering, High Tea with the Empress. Choose from a wide selection of exclusive loose leaf teas, and dine on sumptuous savory bites and Chef crafted sweet treats. Kicking off the journey, we're partnering with Wines of Rioja to bring the bold, vibrant flavours of Spain's renowned Rioja region to every Royal Sonesta and Sonesta Hotel & Resort. This exclusive ticketed dinner falls on Monday, May 12. Marina Eito of Familia Martinez Zabala will be on hand to discuss paired wines from Bodegas Faustino, one of the most respected names in Rioja. Each of the five featured wines will be paired with our Chef-crafted tasting menu, showcasing local Canadian products, with a little Spanish flair. Perfect restaurant to entertain clients. There is no disturbing sounds so that we could discuss matters calmly without raising our voices and no fear of being overheard. Will return before every concert at Telus Centre for the performing arts.

I went here recently with a friend of mine on my birthday for tea, the place very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff here were polite and the young lady that was our server was very friendly and she put a happy birthday message on our tray! The food and tea were great in terms of presentation and flavour. There was also a lot of variety in the types of tea and food! Awesome place overall, would recommend! :)

If you want to have lunch in the Bloor/Ave Rd area, this is an excellent place. It's QUIET, good for conversation, meetings, and the food is excellent.

Hotel restaurants are not hip. The tables are far apart and they don’t play loud music so you can actually have a conversation without needing to shout. They don’t rush you through. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The location can’t be beat - Bloor Street just west of Avenue Road -close to U of T , the ROM, and Koerner Hall. A hidden gem.

The service was slow despite not being overly busy. The food was not great. Hamburger was overcooked and dry...finally got some mustard by the time it wss ice cold buy no relish or tomato or lettuce possible. Did not know there was o ly thw winterlude menu available. Choices were scant and the value wss poor. Dessert was also poor. Apple crisp ws pure sugar with a tablespoon of ice cream and chocolate cheescake did not seem to be what it was supposed to be. We won't be back.

The food was amazing. Loved every bite. The service was top notch. The wait staff exceptional. Although alone at my table, I was surrounded by caring staff. Thank you.

This is the most wonderful place to meet with friends for quiet conversation. No rushing. No loud music. Exceptionally approachable staff. And a great kitchen to boot.

Beautiful high tea experience! The food is delicious and the selection of tea is great. Very professional staff and great service. Would recommend and certainly do it again soon.

It was disappointing as the starters we wanted were unavailable, then the desserts we wanted were also unavailable. The mains we got were good. Our waiter was really good and he saved the night. We always stay at the Sonesta when in Toronto so even though the family dinner on our last night was disappointing we will most likely be back, and dining at Signatures, later in the year.
