   Our server Anthony did a great job! There was no heat in the entire restaurant! My husband got sick from the grilled chicken BLT. We probably won’t go back!

   Norman, Thank you for your feedback and your kind words about our staff. First and foremost, I want to say we are deeply sorry about your experience and the discomfort caused to your husband. After thoroughly reviewing the situation, we found a lapse in our food preparation process that does not reflect our usual standards. We take full responsibility and it has been addressed by retraining staff and conducting additional investigations to ensure it will not happen again.    We arrived 5 minutes early and we're seated at least 30 minutes late. Staff was curt and the food was mediocre. My husband's prime rib was ordered as medium-rare, but it was a little over medium done. The vegetables were mainly warmed cherry tomatoes. We will not return.

According to our reservation system, you arrived at 6:57 for your 7:00 reservation and were sat at 7:12, which does align with our typical seating time. I do apologize if the wait felt longer than expected and I'm sorry that this negatively affected your experience.    We have been going to the Brown Palace for years. We always make reservations at Ships Tavern, and they always do an incredible job. The service is friendly and welcoming, the food is absolutely wonderful (I had the salmon), and the overall vibe is energetic and family friendly. The guests say hello to each other, whether dressed in an evening gown or in sweats. The staff works very hard to prompt and precise, and the bartender(s) are great at what they do!! Highly Recommend!! But you might have to make a reservation - they get busy!

   We have been going to Ship's Tavern for about 40 years. However, we had not gone there in the last year. We decided that to prepare for New Year we would go for the Prime Rib (our favorite). We were very disappointed. Reservations were for 5:45 and the Host told us to wait in the Hotel lobby until we were called. At six o'clock we went back to the host (who was borderline rude) and were told they wouldn't have a table until the group at our table left. There were two other tables available but they told us they had more reservations coming so they were saving those tables. When we were finally seated we waited for quite some time for service. We had to request roll-ups because they had not prepared the table. No bread was offered. The waitress was swamped because they were severely understaffed. The waitress was pleasant and kept apologizing but we did not blame her. We eventually got our food and silverware. However, the prime rib did not disappoint it took about a half hour to get it. Overall it is not the Brown. Palace standard we came to appreciate over the years. I doubt we will return since it is a 40-minute drive from our house

According to our reservation system, you arrived at 5:34 for your 5:45 reservation and were seated at 5:53, which does align with our typical seating window. I apologize if this felt longer than expected and I'm sorry that it negatively impacted your experience. You are correct, this is not the Brown Palace standard and I will be looking into retraining our staff to ensure they are attentive and efficient.    Great sandwiches for lunch and server requested a dinner-only item on our behalf; the kitchen accommodated! Fun place to eat!

   As a divorced woman without her son for the first Christmas ever, thank you to the staff at Ship Tavern for making my Christmas dinner with my friend special. Your exquisite hotel, lovely dining experience, and attentive staff made every moment pleasing from the valet, host, server, to the table busser that I made blush by saying Merry Christmas. Thank you for making me want to go back to savor some more while feeling included in the magic!

   Not at all as good,as it used to be. The Tavern appeared tattered and run down. Food was served on the cooler side. Service was minimal. No attention to detail. Just another place to eat.. did not feel as special as it was once was. Been going there since I was a small boy... Many memories of GREAT service, and wonderfull food.... I hink tose days are gone. Disappointed.

    The prime rib was excellent. The onion soup was too salty. We missed the carolers who performed there in 2023.
