   Wonderful food, attentive service, but very noisy. Cries out for a carpet or any sound abatement that might allow conversation at a table for 2 to4. Miss the old original Gurney’s corny Italian rococo decor that was a relief from the now ubiquitous “ zen”running to “ Amish “ look of un inviting plain colorless Uber simple gray fixtures. Looks as if it was decorated by Monks who have taken a vow of poverty. Art work is all black, gray and during late fall no view of gorgeous ocean after early sunset. No music either but the noise would drown it out anyway. Very pricey for teensy portions.

   The thanksgiving menu for 150$ was not worth the price. Our main dish was not warm and the dessert was also below our expectations. Service was in addition not the best. Overall - when you have dinner at Gurneys you expect something special, but this dinner was nothing special at all and with that price not worth it.

   Was seated 45 minutes after my reservation. Food was ok. Ordered a bottle of wine which was never brought to the table. Terrible service.

   Very overpriced for the quality of food. Do not get the scallops! So salty your blood pressure will go instantly up!!

   Three staff is EXCELLENT!!! Everyone from the hostess, to the runners to the waiter, all fantastic! Food was VERY VERY good, great flavors. Some portions were good size, others need to be a little larger, especially based on price. Dessert, chocolate cake was Great. The alcoholic drinks are WAY TOO OVERPRICED. Would love to have had a second drink, not easy to expensive and not enough alcohol in the mixed drinks.

   Unfortunately, we had to wait over 40 minutes for our table after checking in 10 minutes early and being told 10-15 at check-in and two more times when we checked on the status of our table.

   I had a 6:30 reservation for 2 ppl but were told our table wasn’t ready. We weren’t seated until 7:15 at a large table for 6 ppl. The hostess said “sorry about the large table, that’s all we have available.” Why take reservations? The waiter asked if we would like to order any appetizers and I asked for the seared scallops which I’ve had there before and they are very good. He said “I’m sorry we just sold out!” So due to the late seating no scallops for you! Lol. I ordered the branzino which was a 1/2 of a half of fillet and was overcooked. The floor and seats were vibrating due to an event with a DJ in the room below us . I’ve eaten here many times and it’s usually decent food, however, this was an off night.

   It is a fantastic seaside meal. The pregame started around the outside firepit with a full bar, then moved inside to the main bar. Our two starter plates of Octopus and Burrata were perfect, followed by the chicken and Bronzino main courses. We chose another round of drinks over dessert and

    If you want to be a high end restaurant you probably should start by having competent staff that’s provides a dining experience worth the $500 meal. Not the first time we had a horrible experience with your service. Incompetent and needs a ton more training. Please retrain your staff and have them take a course and service and fine dining. Too many excellent food places to spend $500 to be served a meal with no plates and forks, bringing out 10 appetizers at once, had to wait so long for another drink the meal with over. Horrendeous experience!
