   I was seated promptly at my reservation time while waiting for two friends. I ordered my wine and then my friends arrived. After they ordered their wines and bread was brought to the table, an attendant came to our table and explained that a husband had requested that table specifically for a dinner with his wife and would we mind moving. We said no and chose a quiet corner in the back. They brought us complimentary appetizers for our troubles and were not rushed at all for the remainder of our stay.

   Excellent experience! Great service and great food! My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant made a huge effort to make the dinner feel as special as possible. They even treated us to a champagne toast and dessert. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion, or just a nice night out!

   Jamie was very attentive. We go to Scarlet Oak often and many of the staff stop by the table to say Hi. Jamie had our usual drinks ready for us, always made sure my water glass was refilled. The scallops are out of this world delicious. I had truffle fries and asparagus which was fresh and cooked to perfection. Hubby had tuna tartare which he loved. All in all, it was a wonderful evening.

   Scarlet Oak Tavern is a very busy place, and with little wonder. The food is very good, the prices are reasonable (definitely not cheap, but not too pricey), and the service is great. Steak, seafood, pasta, everything here is delicious. They have an excellent wine list and a nice assortment of craft beers on tap. Perfect for celebrations and just plain old nights out.

   We usually visit Scarlet Oak for special occasion dinners because the food is wonderful and the restaurant overall is very elegant.

   Once again, the wife and I visited the Scarlet Oak for our special occasion and some tender, juicy steak. As before, they brought their A game when it came to their selection (beer and meat) and friendly service. However, also as before, they cooked the steak half a level above what we were both looking for (first world problems, I know). Now, don't get me wrong, my porterhouse was excellent. But when I ask for (and am paying $46 for) medium, I'd like pink throughout. The meat towards the outskirts of the steak was well-done and almost grey. The meat at the T-Bone? Pink, tender and delicious (granted the meat at the bone should be more tender and cooked less). And truly, it was a great steak. But diners should know that if they want pink, go medium-rare and they'll get a "medium" steak delivered. Beer selection was exceptional. Clam chowder would have made Chief Brody proud. A great experience. Also, I learned that the Scarlet Oak is a well-known South Shore hot spot for swingers. Leave your keys on the bar, see what happens. Wild.

    Our dinner at your restaurant was excellent and everyone was pleased with the meal. The service was great. Your sirloin steak was very tender and was cooked just right for my taste. The only problem that I encountered was there was too much pepper on the steak. I find that this is a common occurrence in many restaurants.
