   A really nice dining experience, the shared dishes worked well, fresh, served at correct temperature, tasty and well presented. The staff were very helpful and tailored the speed of service to meet our needs of a delivering a relaxed experience. The highlight other than the food was the decor, an amazing restaurant and really strange but exciting decoration of furnature and ornaments.

   The restaurant didn't have a record of our booking and said that they haven't used open table for years... and yet they are still listed. They did very well to squeeze us in and we have a lovely meal but just be warned that, if you book via Open Table, San Fairie Ann will NOT be expecting you...!!

   Menu is very limited, no choice for anyone that has any dietary requirements (or is just a picky eater!). Staff dont care and wont try to help you find something or offer you any alternatives. Also dont bother trying to contact them beforehand with any questions about dietary requirements as their customer service is shocking and they just ignore everyone. Shame as the decor is interesting, they just need to learn some customer service skills!

   This is fast becoming my favourite place to go. The staff could not be more welcoming and the setting itself is fantastic. You could lose yourself looking at the odds and ends that decorate the walls for hours. The tables aren't too close together so you are never competing with other diners conversations and the music is at a great level to create atmosphere. The food was delicious and of such high quality that I felt I was high dining in London. It is such a treat to find a local place as good as this! I cannot wait to find another excuse to go back to this gem of a restaurant.

   We went to this restaurant for my wife's birthday before seeing a show at the Palace Theater.As it was early (5:30) there were only a few people in there but the atmosphere was still really good, mainly down to the friendly staff and quirky decoration. The food was absolutely perfect (ensure you get a bowl of the homemade onion chutney). It's just over a mile to the Palace Theater and Cliffs Pavilion but if you eat as much as we did you need a walk afterwards.

   We came quite early on a Friday (7pm) but the staff were very welcoming, friendly and really helpful. Love the decor it's fun and quirky and lots to take in and adds to the ambience of the restaurant. The food is amazing! We had mains and puds. My husband had lamb (which I don't generally like) but I tasted some and was melt in your mouth and Devine. I had rib eye steak and this equally melted in your mouth and was delicious. Puddings were gorgeous and I fully recommend the sticky toffee pudding and baileys icecream! We'll definitely be back and I have already recommended to my friends for a birthday meal - which guttingly I'll be missing as working 😞

   This was our second visit within last 6 months. It was a get together of 3 friends. We enjoyed a bottle of bubbly first and ordered dinner whilst enjoying it. We only ordered a main course and had the Rioja to accompany our food. 2 of us enjoyed the chicken breast and 1 of us had steak. All good with the food and service. No hurry to vacate - we were one of the last tables to leave and had been one of the first to arrive. Our restaurant of choice now for our get togethers.

   I booked this restaurant as part of a birthday treat for my wife when we spent a long weekend in Southend, based on online reviews. We are so glad we did. From the moment we walked through the door, we were transported to a different world full of a curious mix of object d'art, furniture and decor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the staff were very cheerful and friendly. The food was quite spectacular and well presented. I've never tasted venison like it, cooked to perfection. Our waitress, whose name I didn't catch, made us feel at home and was cheerful and chatty. Overall, we had a great night with first class food in unique surroundings. We would both like to say a special thanks to all the staff and if we are ever in S on S again, we will make a point of returning

   I have recently been here for Afternoon Tea and Dinner, with a friend who is lactose intolerant, and both times the restaurant were more than happy to accommodate our needs! Lovely food, friendly staff and a great place to go. I would highly recommend a visit at any time of day!

    Excellent food, cooked to perfection with a creative, ever changing and varied menu. The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is busy and bohemian, but romantic with candles, background music and lowish lighting. The tables are not too close together and seats are offset away from your fellow diners. The decor is an eclectic mix of interesting period artifacts and original art work. The wine list caters for all tastes and cocktails are also served. Our favourite south east Essex restaurant.
