    Friendly and attentive service with very good and well presented meal. Useful range of wine and excellent espresso! Not rushed or made to feel table was required for other visitors. Overall, a nice, easy going lunchtime and delightful bistro.

    Great wine selection including some locals from chapel down. All the food was delicious, particular highlights were the bread and olives, the smoked fennel and a rhubarb sorbet.

    I booked this restaurant for our wedding anniversary after reading some reviews as we didn't know Whitstable. Fortunately it was a good choice as it was just the sort of restaurant we like, good food and relaxed atmosphere . They made it special by writing happy anniversary in chalk on our table. Staff were attentive and helpful. Menu was comprehensive and food cooked well and presented attractively. It had a good ambience and seemed to appeal to a wide range of clientele .

    Although not an extensive menu it was very interesting and well thought out.The food and service were very good and it had a nice atmosphere.The only down side was that the seating was a bit uncomfortable but this did not distract from a very nice evening.

    Samphire on Saturday had a really good menu, the Indian spiced mackerel was a new one on me and really hit the spot. The turbot was well cooked and presented and does the chef proud. Cheese was also great, our guests were all complimentary and rightly said they would return. Wine list also features English wines which is a good news for home producers. Staff were as always very friendly. Recommended. Martin

    Had a lovely evening in this gorgeous little restaurant, every course was just perfect, service spot on. Would definitely recommend but book early.

    The food was excellent and well presented with a wide choice and great ingredients We found the restaurant comfy and hospitable in a low key way. The service could not be faulted with staff being helpful and friendly. No hesitation in recommending Samphire and will definitely be going there again. My friend has visited several times and always enjoyed the experience
