We love to go to Plant Matter Kitchen for dinner. There are so many choices and they all look great. I like to sample different dishes, but my husband goes for his favorites each time such as the beef bourguignon. We always enjoy the food, which is prepared and presented beautifully. Dessert is great too! I sometimes also have a feature cocktail! This is a popular place now and I am hoping that they will expand someday. They need more space!

Stefano's Diner is owned by Michelin recommended Gia Restaurant.

Our plant based menu includes classic Italian fare: Focaccia, Mozzarella sticks, Baby Gem Salad, Arancini, Cashew Brie, Chicken Parmigiana, Buckwheat Rigatoni Bolognese, Plant based sandwiches on house made ciabatta, and the city's best plant based Smash Burger with bacon and blue cheese toppings.

Saturday and Sunday Brunch we open at 10am serving Eggs Benny, BLTs, French Toast, Matcha Lattes, sandwiches and fresh juice.
We do not take reservations for Brunch, it's walk-in only.

We offer 10 bar seats for walk in and 18 Dining room seats. The design is upscale with micro cemented walls and floors with a walnut and olive green banquette occupying most of the space.

Vegan wine, cocktails and mocktails available and our entire menu is available for take out.
We are open late on Fridays and Saturdays till 1145.

The in-house made charcuterie board was delightful; I'll be going back for the vegan blue cheese, vegan camambert, and house-baked bread as soon as possible! Avelo Bar - I'll deal with Toronto traffic any day to visit you :) Intimate, relaxed, upscale and stylish ambiance presenting incredibly tasty, animal-free menu items. The server Matt was awesome! We didn’t have a full dinner and that was no issue, he recommended drinks and appetizers and was super friendly. Attentive but not over bearing. GIA is a great spot to go for a nice dinner or cocktails and apps!

Our mission? Great people helping other great people totally have a blast while enjoying amazing food. Wow, that was a mouthful. But can you blame us? We’re a restaurant. One that specializes in delicious food and great times. Our goal is to make you laugh. And depending on your hot sauce tolerance, cry.

In all seriousness, we take real pride in our food. Try our Cluckin’ Fresh Chicken Fingers, made and seasoned with fresh, never frozen chicken tenders. This isn’t run-of-the-mill pub grub. Our Band of Chefs are influenced by a wide variety of tastes and have travelled across the globe to gain inspiration.

But outside of the kitchen, we find it hard to take ourselves seriously. We have an Elvis booth. For no particular reason. Folks, that really does say it all. We’re sports fanatics, music nuts and love a good joke. If you’re into at least one of those things, we should hang out.

I have to admit, Jack Astor's Newmarket has drastically improved! I had a very very bad experience when we had a dinner there about 7-8 years ago so we didn't want to come back. But we still decided to give it another chance. And we were not disappointed! The food was just great, every single bite was delicious! The service was very goid too. The waitress Meghan was so nice and professional. The young ladies at the reception were also nice and easy going. So I think this restaurant might become our go-to place to dine.
