We are a great neighborhood secret on the south end of town offering a variety of fresh fun food from our open display kitchen. We have a hardwood oven for great appetizers and flatbreads while fresh Alaskan seafood and produce arrive daily. Be sure to check out our daily specials highlighting Chef Travis' creative inspirations. And of course, make sure to save room for our fantastic home-made desserts. We are proud recipients of the "Wine Spectators" Award of excellence 28 years in a row and feature a 250+ bottle wine list. Our speciality, though, is our hospitality. It truly brings us joy to welcome guests to our restaurant and help them have the best experience we can offer.

I did not request any particular table for the evening. Gerald had us seated in the back but my wife does not like the back, so Gerald moved us to the front by the windows. Thank you Gerald. He was very gracious. He even had a card signed by the entire staff for our 55th wedding anniversary. As usual the staff did an excellent job and the food was outstanding. Their steaks are really good steaks. All in all, we had a wonderful evening dining out at AJ’s. I had three of our grandchildren deliver 55 roses to our table to participate in our celebration. Thank you Gerald, looking forward to another event to celebrate at AJ’s Oldtown Restaurant in Homer, Alaska

The staff didn't miss a beat with acknowledging our party at check in, and having the event coordinator right there to greet us for dinner. We're having our reception there later in the summer for our wedding and the coordinator didn't forget any of our details. She walked us through the banquet space before dinner and the waiter was memorable in personality and professionalism. Food was delicious, dependable while also being adventurous. We had frog legs that were elevated and delicious and ordered everything from the pasta to the burgers. All had great portions and enjoyed the whole experience. I would say if they have a live performer, a musician, the mic needs better dialed in for dining chatter but that is it.
