Ruth's Chris Steak House was founded in New Orleans, Louisiana by Ruth Fertel, a single mother of two who wanted a better life for herself and her two sons. She purchased "Chris" steakhouse in New Orleans which had been operated for the 38 years prior. She changed the name to Ruth's Chris when a fire forced her to move from the original location. Today, there are 142 Ruth’s Chris Steak House restaurants across the globe. We look forward to our opening in Gaithersburg, MD.

I don’t typically leave reviews for restaurants but I definitely needed to leave one this time around! My partner and I celebrated our anniversary and we had one of the best dining experiences in the area. Between the staff, ambiance and food, everything was perfect for our celebratory night. Thanks again for your hospitality and service!

The lobster Mac and cheese was not good at all it was real thick and dry and down the bottom of the hot plate a a lot of watery cheese. The spinach was nasty with not flavored, the only thing that was good was the spicy shrimp and the bread.
